ICT Big Gay Market You keep deleting my post
So, just so I understand:
You are an "inclusive" event, as long as people conform to the beliefs and viewpoints you approve of.
You openly discourage people from having conversations with those who disagree with them. In fact, your own statement says there is "no reason to hear" opposing viewpoints because you've already decided you know the truth.
You claim to celebrate diversity, but apparently diversity of thought, belief, religion, or opinion is excluded from that definition.
From the emails sent to vendors, it also appears that anyone who disagrees with you is automatically labeled hateful, homophobic, transphobic, toxic, or some other pejorative rather than being engaged on the merits of what they actually believe.
You even encouraged people to "give me hell" and to make me as uncomfortable as possible, while at the same time claiming to be creating a safe and welcoming environment.
The strange part is that all I have ever asked for is a civil conversation about a question that Christians have debated for centuries: Can someone be a gay Christian?
I have never asked anyone to agree with me. I have never demanded anyone change their beliefs. I have simply offered to have respectful conversations with anyone who wants to engage.
So is this really about inclusion, diversity, and acceptance? Or is it about excluding and silencing people whose views differ from your own?
Because from where I sit, it looks like disagreement is being treated as hate, and conversation is being treated as a threat.
