Welcome to Riah's Leather Goods. We are excited that you have found our page. Hello 👋, I'm Mariah, the owner of this small business and also a Nurse. My interest in leathercraft was piqued when I bought a cameo silhouette, which allowed me to cut out various designs from thinner leather. Although I encountered some initial difficulties with the blade, this experience sparked my curiosity, and I began exploring leathercraft in greater depth. This journey led me to create small card wallets, wristlets, and keychains. The wristlets were initially designed as gifts for my girlfriends in nursing school, and their popularity grew as they were shared with others. I particularly enjoy creating personalized items, as it reminds me of my childhood searches for personalized keychains with my name. Unfortunately, I often found that Mariah was not among the available options, which was disappointing. Therefore, I strive to create unique, personalized wristlets that allow individuals with uncommon names to feel special and connected to their accessories.

I'd like to discuss a leather antiquing technique. The reference pictures below show the outline of the item in black. When carving into the leather, the antiquing is applied to those areas. However, the antiquing may sometimes highlight the leather's imperfections, as seen in the pictures below. Any wrinkles or scars the animal may have had will be reflected in the antiquing, making the item more unique and special, which I find particularly interesting.

Look at these new Grace keychains!!! They were inspired by a good friend for her bridal party. She had a concept and I brought it to fruition. I am delighted with the outcome and hope she and her girls appreciate them just as much!!!!
