In celebration of Veterans Day, residents and staff at Allerton House at Harbor Park paid tribute to veterans currently living in the community.
In addition to honoring all who served and who still serve their country, this year Veterans Day – or Armistice Day – commemorated the centennial of the agreement to end the First World War. The day’s events honored 13 resident veterans who had served the United States and Italy.
Beacon Hospice presented the “We Honor Veterans” ceremony.

Abigail is 9th grader at Notre Dame Academy. This crafty kid makes novelty handmade gifts such as flannel pillowcases (her best seller!), drawstring bags, zipper pouches, doll dresses, dog bandanas, and trick-or-treat totes for Halloween!

Open House at Archbishop Williams High School!
Attending an Open House is a great way to fully experience the wide range of academics and activities offered at Archbishop Williams. Current students will be available to share their experiences and faculty will be available to provide a deeper understanding of their curriculum and programs. Open Houses will be taking place on Sunday 10/22 11am-1pm and Sunday 11/5 11am-1pm for those interested!

MAD LOVE MUSIC FESTIVAL 2023 IS READY TO ROCK!
WHAT: The annual Mad Love Music Festival (MLMF) is excited to be back and better than ever! Featuring an incredible line up of musicians, food, drinks and activities for the whole family. The Mad Love Music Festival is a South Shore annual tradition to raise funds to sponsor a scholarship for young rockers.
WHEN: This year’s festival will be held on October 8th, 2023 from 11:00-5:00 in the South Shore Conservatory's Jane Carr Outdoor Amphitheater.

3 cheers for Jenny Gusella, Captain of Team Magnitude for the Tour de South Shore! The Tour de South Shore is a fundraising event happening on 9/23 which includes a 25- or 50-mile bike ride along a beautiful coastal route and a 5K run/walk within Wompatuck State Park. This will be the 14th year that The McCourt Foundation has hosted this event, raising funds to support its mission to cure neurological diseases while empowering communities to build a healthier world.

September means back to school and we couldn't do it without the love and dedication of these amazing Hingham Public School bus drivers! Lucky for us, there is a sense of family mutually shared between residents and HPS school bus drivers.
Padraig “Patrick” Cunningham, Transportation Supervisor, tells us his priority is providing a safe ride for all their students. Their day begins at 5 a.m. running 22 routes, 19 special needs van routes, next up athletes are transported with the day ending around 6 p.m.!!
When you see that big yellow bus making a stop be sure to stop your vehicle and give them a wave or a big thumbs up! We are so thankful for you, HPS Bus Drivers! 🚌

Hadley attended the High Mountain Institute in Colorado, a program that focuses on educating teenagers through interaction with the natural world of the American West. She was lucky enough to spend five weeks of the semester backpacking and skiing in the mountains of Colorado and the canyons of Utah!
