🎉🏆🐾 BREAK OUT THE TREATS, FURIENDS — YOUR BOY DID IT!!! 🐾🏆🎉

Somebody cue the confetti, fill the pup cups, and make room on the fridge for my ribbon because I have some BIG NEWS! 🥳

I’m officially an AKC Canine Good Citizen! 🐾🏅

That’s right — I PASSED MY CGC TEST! 🎉 I got this fancy ribbon to prove that I can listen, use my manners, and be a very good boy… when it really counts. 😂💛

Mom and Dad are SO proud of me, and I have to admit, I’m pretty proud of myself too! All that training and practicing is paying off! 🐾

Mom says passing the test officially proves my ears work, so apparently “selective hearing” is no longer an acceptable excuse.

So obviously, a Certified Good Boy needed to celebrate! 🥳 We stopped by Saving Grace Supply Company, where I met Mr. Scott, who was SO nice and gave me a pup cup with a COOKIE in it! 🍪🐾 Now that’s how you celebrate an accomplishment!

You may now address me as Banks, Certified Good Boy. 😎🏅

🐾☕️ Banks’ Excellent Adventure! ☕️🐾

This afternoon, Mom and Dad took me on an excellent little adventure to Concorde Espresso Bar in Porter’s Neck! 🐶🤎

Everyone was EXTRA nice to me. 😎 And then it got even better… they brought me a SUPER delicious pup cup! 🤤🐾 Official Banks rating: 10/10 — would lick the cup clean again!

Mom and Dad said their coffees were delicious too, but I was pretty focused on my own beverage situation. 😂☕️

Great coffee, pup cups, and people who know how to properly spoil a Golden Retriever? We’ll definitely be back! 🐾💙

What a pawsome morning at the Carolina Beach Market at the Lake! 🐾☀️

There were SO many new smells to investigate—especially in the beautiful pollinator garden! 🌸🐝 I also stopped by the Rainbow Bridge to visit Winston, Zoe, Brady, and Lily’s special spot. 🌈❤️

I met lots of new hoomans, big and small, and made so many doggie friends! I also got to see my Aunt Beth, who always makes me feel like the most special pup in the whole world. I soaked up every bit of her love! 🥰🐾

Then I met my new besties at Koukla Plant Co. Okay…these are officially my new peeps! 🌿💐 Dad says I should save my allowance to buy Mom some flowers from them—and if I keep my ears working and listen to what I’m supposed to do, I might even earn a little more allowance! 😂🐾

That’s right, friends — after all the fun last year, I’m bringing my Fantasy Football league back for another season! 🏆

Think you can out-draft a Golden Retriever? Come prove it! I’ve been studying hard in the off-season… watching football with Dad, scouting the best mascots, and obviously keeping an eye on the snacks. 😂

🌳🐾 Park Adventure! 🐾🌳

Mom and Dad took me on a park adventure, and you know what that means… SO. MANY. SNIFFS. 👃😂 I had to investigate every tree, bush, blade of grass, and mysterious smell along the way. It’s important work, guys.

We also snuck in a little training because apparently adventures are also “learning opportunities.” 🙄 I practiced listening, checking in, and showing Mom and Dad what a good boy I can be… even with ALL those distractions around me! 💙

Sniffs + training + exploring with my favorite humans = a pretty pawsome day. 🐾

🎃🐾 HELP! I need a Halloween costume! 🐾🎃

Last year, Mom and Dad went ALL OUT. 😂 I was a 🦈 shark, Dad was a 🏄 surfer with a bite taken out of his board, and Mom was the 🚨 lifeguard who apparently wasn’t very good at her job. 😏

Now Halloween is coming again, and we need to top it!

So I’m putting my furiends to work… What should our FAMILY costume be this year?! 👻

Well… today was a FIRST for me! 🌪️🐾 My very first tornado warning!

Mom and Dad took me into the closet—the closet I’m normally NOT allowed in and the door stays shut. Apparently they think if they leave it open, I might decide their shoes look like snacks. 🤨 For the record, I have NEVER eaten a shoe. I feel like I’m being judged for a crime I haven’t even committed. 😂

Mom tried to convince me we were having fun and said it was “like camping.” Excuse me, ma’am… there was no tent and no s’mores, so I’m pretty sure that’s NOT camping.

Once the tornado warning was over, I decided I really needed to go 💩. Minor problem: it was STILL pouring rain. Dad took me outside, and naturally I assumed this meant FULL-ON PUDDLE PLAYTIME! 💦🐕 I splashed around, got completely soaked…and yes, EVENTUALLY I remembered why we went outside in the first place. 🤣

When we came back in, Mom said she should’ve just put some shampoo on me because I basically already had a bath.

Tonight’s adventure took me to Home Depot to check out all the Halloween decorations! 🎃👻

Mom and Dad said I was SO brave and that it was really good training for me. I’m not sure what kind of training involves giant skeletons, creepy monsters and things suddenly moving and talking…but okay. 😂🐾

I thought some of those things were kinda weird, but then I spotted the buttons. 👀 Mom has taught me that pushing a button can make treats appear from my R2 Treat 2, so naturally I thought I had this figured out.

I pushed the Halloween button…and instead of a treat, THE THING CAME TO LIFE. 😳😂

Excuse me, Home Depot. Your treat dispensers appear to be broken.

But I stayed brave, checked everything out, and made Mom and Dad proud. 💙🐾
