As an empty nester, I’m embracing possibility and redefining who I am beyond the roles of “mom” and “wife.” Learning to appreciate simplicity while exploring new passions. After 30 years as a wife and homeschooling mother to an only child, I’ve recently entered the world of empty nesting. With my son now in college, I’m learning to navigate this new, open space — a “Blank Page” where the roles that once defined me no longer do. In this phase, I’m discovering the power of mindfulness and simplicity, things I once overlooked in the busy years of family life. As I step into this next chapter with an open heart, I’m exploring old passions and embracing the quiet, mindful existence I’ve longed for.
