Sometimes the best thing you can do is sit on the floor, mind your business, and let them come investigate you on their own terms.

Less grabbing. Less reaching. More letting them decide you’re safe.

Rabbit Hay Guide: Which Hay Is Best for Your Bunny? 🐰🌾

Timothy isn’t the only good hay for rabbits, and if you have a picky hay eater, that matters!

Second-cut Timothy is considered the gold standard for most adult rabbits, but some rabbits (mine included 😂) would much rather have something softer like orchard or meadow grass.

I put together this quick guide showing the differences between Timothy, orchard, meadow, oat and alfalfa- including which ones I reach for with picky eaters and when I start transitioning babies away from alfalfa.

The most important part? Find a grass hay your rabbit will actually EAT and keep it available 24/7. 🌾
