The primary purpose of SICGU Dhargey Publishing is to make Tibetan Buddhist scholarly material available to western students. SICGU Dhargey Publishing presents translations of the classical texts of the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, focused primarily on study material utilized by students following the Geshe program at Sera Jey Monastic University, thus making this important material available to En
glish speaking students for the first time. All of our study materials are bi-lingual, Tibetan-English, thus offering students an opportunity to work with both vocabularies at once. An important focus of SICGU Dhargey Publishing is classical Tibetan language and grammar. We are preparing Tibetan-English translations of the main Tibetan grammatical literature, to support and encourage precise translations of canonical literature. Another priority of SICGU Dhargey Publishing is presenting the essential teachings of the Buddha Dharma in a manner accessible to contemporary students. SICGU Dhargey Publishing plans to publish biographical, historical, and cultural works as well other materials relevant to our mission. We are also a publisher of children’s books that present the timeless values of Buddhist philosophy, making them accessible to readers of all levels.
