Dropped by the house to get a super nice mattress I ordered off Amazon 12 in thick Twin XL . I’ve been buying these the last few trucks I’ve had starting with Doc Holliday and you will most definitely get a good nights sleep with them . I’m not paying $1000 for something that’s basically the same thing cause it says trucking on it . I’ll be back out on the road Monday , was gonna be leaving out tonight at midnight but my load Friday the broker wouldn’t give us the pick up number so we bailed after only 9 hrs waiting but I’m getting paid for it so no harm no foul . Made $2401.92 my first weeks check . My second week didn’t go so good starting in Florida .

Start leasing the truck Monday so wish me luck I’m just not a company driver haven’t been one since 2009 when I bought my first truck .

So what do I really think about Hurricane Express.

I think they are a great company and well ran . I think their equipment is some of the best out there .

I think Kaedon is a great owner and very approachable and humble for what he’s created an almost 600 truck carrier .

I think Kaedon Jr Kaedon Steinert is a very approachable young man and is learning the business as he’s grown up in it .

I think Marcy does good assigning the trucks etc .

I think they pay out great bonuses to get started cause most guys not all but most come down to their last dime to orientation and that $500 they hand out sure helps them get by till the first advance .

I think they have miles but like I said those swaps sometimes help you and sometimes it hurts your miles depends on what end of it your on .

The Bronx everybody is scared of snd not going to hurricane over ain’t s**t can do it blind folded plenty of room in there . $10 entry fee though to loads going to hunts point but hurricane gives you $200 just to go in .

The trucks are some of the cheapest I’ve seen I still stick by that .

I think there is room for improvement on the fuel discount 10 cents just ain’t enough going into west and east coasts fuel market .

They run Arkansas to the West coast
West to the east and sometimes to Kansas still a 1500 mile run so nothing to shake your head at .

They have big customer freight with drops and that’s a plus .

Now I’ll stick by this too the stainless guys don’t do what you do so don’t compare yourself to them when thinking about the company . They get more miles and they don’t do swaps They get 4000-4500 miles a week running east to west , west to east . Nothing wrong with that except you’re not getting that walking in the door I just wished they’d admit that and quit acting like every hurricane drivers gets those miles cause they don’t . I’d say 3500 would be about max maybe slightly more .most drivers see 2800-3200 on miles .

If you wanna try it out for your first lease give it a shot they got good start up incentives and no payments for 8 weeks . But getting rich or making $2500 a week after the initial start up will be far and few between . When I made videos for them I told you it was a 1500-1800 a week job and I still stand by that . Some make a little more some make less . Fuel is your friend at hurricane use as little as possible and you’ll do ok . Don’t do this s**t you see guys passing people going 75 cause you won’t last long .

My advice would be get your own fuel card you can use it if you got one and cut your costs down .

Nicest truck I ever drove was Doc Holliday ! And it was a hurricane truck

Listen if your gonna go who ever is recruiting you get 3-5 settlements cause anybody can show you 1 good one and that’s anywhere not just hurricane.

But over all Hurricane is good

I just needed more to the house maybe you don’t and it’s fine for you if it is give it a shot . If not I understand completely.

But had we agreed to terms on videos on a term contract I would of been there today it’s just business
I ain’t hating on them one bit

So to clarify something . My last post was not indicating Hurricane Express as a sinking ship . I just have lots of pictures on my phone of Doc Holliday . I was talking about staying too long at any company your not making money at can lead to financial ruin

I got messages wondering if I was pointing fingers at hurricane and that simply wasn’t the case .

On these posts you have to post a picture for FB to put the post out to the masses no picture it only goes to your followers .

It was just a random picture ment nothing by it . I was talking about companies in general .

Haters will make you famous !

So guys and gals it’s came to my attention I have some hate on my posts here on FB .. lol 😂

I’ve blocked a few but I remember someone telling me HATERS WILL MAKE YA FAMOUS …

Call me a job hopper but one thing you won’t call me is BROKE like a lot of you .. and oh I look .. I know what you’re hiding with your wide open Facebook accounts …

So what’s a person to do I’m not an idiot like some are . Do you ride out a sinking ship till your broke or do you move . Thats all I do is I move on when the s**t gets deep at a company . Now some of you fools will ride a company till your running a GO FUND ME to pay your bills and want sympathy. I dont do that folks
I move on and keep my family fed like a man should .

But .. a MAN should stick it out in good times and bad .. Well my advice to you is when you ride that out and go broke see how fast they put the next sucker in your truck and your asking for CASH APP DONATIONS ask and see if that company you RODE IT OUT WITH .. will pay your mortgage or car payment . I’ve seen this several times .

Loyalty used to be a good thing but now days companies will eat your ass up and leave you to suffer …

Going Lease

So it’s gonna happen a little sooner than I thought but I’m gonna go lease here . I don’t know how to act being a company driver it’s just not in my comfort zone anymore .

Trying to keep this truck I got currently not sure if I can or not but we’re gonna try .

I’ll put the name of the company out later this week . It’s a small outfit about 92/93 trucks . But they treat you right here . It was a breath of fresh air that they actually recommended me going company to get a feel first for the company and didn’t just push the lease on me . Me going lease is 100% my idea they are just accommodating my wishes .

This may take another week or 2 to get the logistics worked out on truck , contract signing , etc

I really like this truck truck though . It’s not Hurricane nice but it’s nice for a Freightshaker .

Why I chose not to go back with Hurricane Express .

This is all I got to say please don’t message me with any of your issues or if I think you should work at hurricane

I was gonna do this on video but I can’t do this in under 3 mins for a reel so let me tell you via text ( Very long read )

Let me start by saying I dont think Hurricane is all bad . I actually was gonna go back but in reading this you’ll understand why I was and didn’t . They have SUPER NICE TRUCKS FOR CHEAP … though you can’t say anything to discredit that .
Kaedon is a great owner and treated me fairly his son Kaedon the same way I was treated fair in every aspect of my time there . Owner Kaedon is down to earth and very approachable despite what others might say about him .

Hurricane found me on Facebook promoting their low prices for trucks and I still stand behind that NOBODY sells them cheaper . So we worked out a tentative deal and I went to work there ( There was NO CONTRACT for social media and I knew better than this but I did it and I can’t blame nobody but myself that’s not on hurricane and that’s on me )

First off if you think for 1 minute that you are gonna walk in that door lease any truck from them and think your gonna make $2500 a week outside of the FREE 8 weeks of NO MAINTENANCE and NO TRUCK NOTE and $2000 advances your crazy . And if you think for a minute your gonna make $4500-$5000 a week like they advertise on Facebook think again
I’ll explain more in detail … That $4500 - $5000 stuff pi**ed me off I told recruiting about it and announced my distaste for it cause it’s not true for 90% of the drivers there . Recruiting agreed with me on this via text and email and over the phone . I was selling $1500 a week you guys know that the videos are still up but mostly I sold CHEAP TRUCKS and again I stand behind that cause they are selling them cheaper than you can go to the dealer for .

If you notice there was nobody they have absolutely NOBODY putting their name on the company like I did . Sure they take pictures of a truck to sell you a DREAM .. but nobody is giving you vital info like I did not one single person . I told everybody that would listen it’s a $1500 a week job with a very nice truck.

Why don’t they promote like I did ?

Do they not believe In what they are selling ?

No they don’t they are selling you glitz and glamour and a nice truck that you will probably never get in your time at hurricane cause your time will be short lived and they know that . Listen they do 2 orientations a week with 10 in a class or more in 52 weeks that’s turning over the entire fleet . Those trucks are reserved for the guys who are adored and liked not for you or me . And before you say it , No I didn’t ask for a hood I was quite content with my 26 - 579 and if I went back I requested an auto shift so it would have been an older truck and prob a KW and I was cool with that .

Now if you have a Stainless trailer you’ll make $2500 a week off of 4000 miles with hurricanes fuel card and $5000 if YOU buy your own fuel .. see they don’t tell you that though . They sell BLUE SKY .. everybody ain’t getting that deal .

Those stainless guys get preferential treatment and dispatch that’s why they can show you those large settlements they show on hurricanes page . That will not be your settlement.

Normal grunts like me ( common lease drivers ) will be swapping loads every other dam day and get 2800- 3000 miles and your checks won’t be over 1400-1500 maybe 1600 outside of the advance and free weeks , and if that works for you then Hurricane Express is for you I’m not do***ng them .

You are gonna get 2800 to 3200 miles and at a 10 cent fuel discount and LOW FIXED COSTS on your truck with no trailer fees and they cover all the tolls . your net outside of the 8 weeks free will be $1400-1500 might sniff 1700
On a great week . My pay checks averaged outside of the advance weeks were $1760 and $655 those were both 2 full weeks so I stayed out 4 then went negative when I went home but they will blame me because I took 4 days off as many have already blamed that on my demise at hurricane . So if the powers to be are saying that , then what are you supposed to do never go home . To you guys that said I owe them money I don’t know how that could be true cause they paid me my last check $411 end of last month so 30 days after I left so how would I owe them a dime ? I don’t . DID THEY PAY ME FOR VIDEOS ?

Yes …

I received $100 for each video or post that got over 10k views and that was everyone of them so I was being cushioned $400-700 a week . This was on a handshake and via Venmo this never showed up on my settlement. I think by design but I don’t know that to be truth just a thought . I’m sure if you approached Kaedon Steinert he’d give you the same deal this wasn’t exclusive for me or anything .

if I went back that deal would of been in place again however I wanted a long term written deal this time and they said “ We can’t commit to perpetual payments “ meaning we can’t do it forever . I never asked for forever I just wanted a contract cause in all my years of social media I’ve never NOT HAD A CONTRACT for videos . If you’re a social media influencer you’ll know the value of a Contract . They didn’t want to do it said “ We will talk when you get here “ that wasn’t good enough for me so I declined coming back … nothing more nothing less

They ain’t bad people they just don’t want a social media contract and I can understand that to some degree and in others I can’t it protects them too you know .

Listen most every influencer that represents a company out here on be it Facebook or tik tok or YouTube has a contract to so they either get paid so much per referral or per video or per a set amount of views . I’ve had 2 in my time on social media mostly back in my YouTube days . So this is not some strange s**t I made up I learned this from large content creators before me .

They didn’t want to play I decided $1400 -1500 a week wasn’t good enough so I didn’t come

This is all I got to say about hurricane

Unless they get crazy and then we can show text messages and emails
But I won’t do that I’ve told my story and I’m good … 🙂

I am not representing my new company for videos . If you come I get $500 in 90 days so it is what it is

I think this burnt me selling companies I’m getting too old for this s**t … lol 😂

Now I’ll just tell my experiences and that’s it . But in the past I was paid to say things but I’m not gonna do that anymore , Hell I just don’t have time for it like I used too ..

Again hurricane ain’t bad and the trucks are out of this world nice . just who ever is recruiting you ask for settlements guys and not just 1 week get 5-6 . Anybody can show you 1 good week .

nothing bad to say at all other than what I just did if you consider that bad .

And NO THERE IS NOT A MICROWAVE PAYMENT that was made up BS .

What are you doing now Jason ?

Well guys I’ll tell you how we got to this point in some videos starting tomorrow or Monday .

I took a Company Position with a mid sized company out of Indiana . About 90-93 trucks . I am paid 30% of 100% . I have the option at any time to lease this truck at 88% but I wanted to get the feel for the company first which I think is smart and they actually recommended too. Yes , a honest company for once that didn’t just want to push you into a lease without knowing them first . That says a ton to me . I’m not gonna tell you where I’m at till I get a good grip on it and can tell you all the ins and outs of it . My truck is a 26 Freightliner , Fridge , Microwave, Inverter . Opti idle no apu but the Opti works great I’m averaging pen to paper about 8.7 mpg .

So my first week I started on Wednesday mind you . Wednesday afternoon actually. I grossed $7,550.00 my 30% of that is $2265.00 on 1847 miles this includes DH , which equates to $1.2263 so call it $1.23 as a company driver folks it does not get any better than that now does it . This gross is from Wednesday about 15:00 pm till my delivery this Monday at 0600 am in Florida . Monday is payroll cut off by midnight . Paid Friday . Big thanks to the couple guys who recommended this place so far it’s great I’ve never made 1.23 a running mile as a company driver anywhere and I was a Walmart Private Fleet driver for 5 years 2004-2009 . Yes it’s 1099 and I have to pay taxes I fully understand that . But on a $9000 week this would be $2700 after taxes I’m still looking at $2100 maybe 2200.

If I was leasing this truck with the fuel I purchased on this week I would have brought home $2814.27 after all deductions and maintenance at 88% .

Why did I pass on Hurricane well that’s a story all to itself and one I’ll tell on video soon . But I had my reasons folks I had my reasons and you find them out too and yes it will burn the bridge with them when I say why I passed but I’m gonna shoot you strait folks .

I’m over the moon with how this week went .
