⚡️Stop scrolling for a second⚡️

🦋let’s talk about the Blue Spruce line🦋

Here’s a little more insight into the Blue Spruce line.

Around 95% of these birds did not hatch from olive eggs… and some didn’t even hatch from bloomy eggs. Most actually hatched from brown eggs. 🤎

• 1st generation: hatched from a brown egg
• 2nd generation: hatched from both green & brown eggs
• 3rd generation: mostly hatched from brown including some very light tan eggs (it was a experiment and result were shocking).
⚡️Only one pullet in this group hatched from a green egg.

The colors can vary every day depending on bloom and how much “ink” the hen lays down. Sometimes when the pigment is lighter, those unique blue-gray spruce tones underneath really start to show through. ✨

You can also see here that some eggs may have little to no visible bloom at times. Bloom colors can also vary from blue-gray, gray, toupe & purple undertones.
3rd gen -sire by 2nd gen roo has the most blue undertones-Hatching from non bloomed brown eggs. Under the bloom expect green, mossy greens, aqua blue, sage, blue-green and spruce.
I cant tell you what 4th gen is going to look like till next year when their offspring lay. Their mother's (3rd gen) sure are beauties tho!
One pullet finally made it to the incubator and had a very successful hatch- now waiting on the rest to get bigger.🦋

If the blue gene does not get pass on blooms can be pink.
