✨ Third Time's (almost) the Charm: Chasing the Harvest Moon Over Pilot Mountain 🌕
After two moon-chasing misfires (thanks a lot, clouds and timing 😅), the Juxtaposed Tides crew finally witnessed the long-awaited September Harvest rising behind the iconic Great Pinnacle at . It was an evening overflowing with anticipation, nail-biting (literally), and breath-holding as we raced against the 8:45 PM gate closure (and trust us, the park staff doesn’t play around—respect!). 🌄🌙
The evening kicked off with a sunset that seemed to stretch on forever, with its colors lingering well past 8 PM, painting the sky with hues we couldn’t stop marveling at. And just when it looked like we’d be thwarted yet again due to a sudden breeze and scattered cloud movement (not to mention it was 8:38)… there it was! The moon peeked through the clouds, casting its soft, ethereal light on the landscape making the k**b stand out as if the sun were rising there just on the other side. In the end, we didn’t get the dream shot (thanks to some classic camera malfunctions—ugh, technology!), however the clouds lent an incredible atmosphere, and we still managed to capture the some of the magic with our trusty phones. 📱✨

Sometimes, it’s not about that perfect shot—it’s about the experience, the journey, and the magic in between. And this moonrise? One we’ll be talking about for years to come. Who else is ready for the next celestial adventure? 🌌
