It’s almost summer! I’ve been trapped in my house since October. No need to send help because my ass is busting out today!

Just Stentor today! But also two cats at the end, Clovis in the back, Motor McGavin up front.

I like Stentor because most of them are massive and easy to film. I only need my 20x objective, which just so happens to be my favorite.

Which one is your favorite?

Here’s a few of my favorite clips! May I present to you:
1. Pancake rotifer (common name is usually turtle rotifer but I prefer pancake)
2. Pink Stentor
3. Rotifer eating a tiny ciliate
4. A smooshed Stentor that becomes unsmooshed when I add water under the coverslip (coverslips are heavy! Water your Stentors!)
5. Probably my official favorite clips EvEr: a very pretty Stentor

Someone mentioned the other day that I should try making some wallpapers for people to buy instead of always giving them away. I’ve always said no because… who buys wallpapers?? But it’s December, so I figured maybe I’d give it a try. All proceeds go to buying our Christmas tree lol

Money’s tight for everyone right now, so I priced them at 1 dollar per image. If you want to take a look, or even just read the descriptions I spent an obscene amount of time on, I would honestly love the feedback. They’re ridiculous and I’m very proud of them because not that far deep down I think I am wildly hilarious 😁

I’m working on more but so far my favorite pack is the “Blood, Sweat, and Tears” one because… it’s literally my blood, sweat, and tears under the microscope 🤣.

But there’s also the “Why would you use that as a phone background?” pack that comes with step by step instructions on how to use them to get away from unintended interactions with extroverts.
