Thank you to everyone who stopped by yesterday at the community picnic. It was a beautiful day and it was so nice to catch up with everyone again.

Happy Labor Day!

As you may know, back in March we acquired the future home of Roots Coffee House. A cute little building with huge potential. While we knew we would need to give this building a major update, we didn’t know until we started digging into it exactly what we were getting into. Turns out, this 1880s building needed more love than we originally expected.

But part of us buying this building was merely wanting to fix and utilize something that’s been in this community since before any of us. So, the effort we are putting in now seems worth the outcome.

Our hope for small-town communities, like ours, is to grow and thrive, and we are putting the blood, sweat, and tears into this place—literally—to help make that happen.

So while this update isn’t exactly exciting, it is very important because we want you to know Roots is still here, and we are still working very hard. Right now, it’s on the big, important things, like the long-overdue leveling of the building and replacing some 140-year-old lumber.

We are so looking forward to serving coffee again to our friends and neighbors.

Hello everyone, we are excited to share some fun community events we will be a part of.
This Thursday the 10th we will be at the community picnic in downtown Winthrop on 2nd street.
On Saturday September 19th we will be at the Conklin Hill Fall Festival.
We hope to see you there!
