That door needed to be replaced.
As a collision repair specialist i tell all you PDR techs to take all the hail damage, fender benders, and all small dent jobs. But you have to leave of the large hits and impacts to the people that know what to look for when it comes to large impacts.

The service writer told me to “just repair it” instead of replacing the 1/4 panel…
Even though the metal is torn, the suspension is shot and the structure is compromised beyond repair.
Why? Because a replacement might total the car — and that hurts their numbers.
So now I’m being pushed to fix something that shouldn’t be fixed.
Is this about saving the car… or saving their bonus? 😐
Would YOU trust a shop that does this? 👇👇👇

Me: Most of the people are OFF for the holidays.
Manager: Repeats question
Me: 😤Most of the people are off for the holidays.
Manager: The parts for the odyssey are now arriving on Monday
Me: 😤😤😤 MOST OFF THE PEOPLE ARE OFF BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY. WE CANNOT WORK WITHOUT PARTS BUT HERE WE ARE!!!

This is neither the first nor the last message I will receive about shop corruption, technician mistreatment, and insurance fraud. As far as I’m concerned, staying quiet when a crime is being committed makes you an accomplice.
Report them to the proper authorities or leave. Don't help them continue stealing.

(When you and the writer go over a year down does he include the painter? Im working at a shop that I have to argue with the writer and manager to R&I parts or moldings and glass it clearly is written on the estimate I was told to mask them because the part can break it’s mostly the owner/manager who tells me to do that I used to argue with the body tech but come to find out it’s the writer and manager who tells them not to take off what needs to be taken off to paint I’ve been there 3 months now and no communication I have to ask for estimates. I’m on a so called salary not commission it’s a s**t show at that shop.)
