*Greenwood/Slidell* Grass fires: Greenwood/Slidell, Alvord, Decatur, Forestburg FD, and Wise County EMS are enroute/on scene of grass fires in the area of FM-455 and County Road 2740. Units on scene, advising approximately 2-3 acres, on both sides of FM-455. FM-455 is closed. Out on fire attack. Avoid this area.

- 11:52 PM: Forward progression stopped, in mop-up, disregarding Alvord and Forestburg.

Wise County EMS, Parker County Hospital District EMS, along with additional EMS agencies are staged in College Station awaiting Tropical Storm Edouard, which is currently on track to make landfall near Port Arthur.

The Wise County EMS ambulance crew deployed last week to assist with the Ross Fire has been reassigned to College Station to assist with Tropical Storm Edouard response.

Paramedic Cooper Holland and EMT Cooper Goodman, who are deployed aboard Medic 8 as part of Emergency Medical Task Force 2, were reassigned to the state’s response to the incoming gulf storm. The storm is expected to make landfall tomorrow afternoon, impacting parts of Texas and Louisiana.

Preuninger said local EMS staffing is still at normal levels.

Update on the Ross fire:

According to NIFC, the fire is now estimated to have burned 90,000 acres. Containment is at 31% still, per Texas A&M Forest Service.

*New Fairview* Brush Fire: New Fairview, Decatur, Justin FD, and Wise County EMS are enroute/on scene of a large brush pile on fire in the 1400 block of FM-2264. Expect visible smoke from this fire.

- 4:59 PM: Fire is contained.

- 5:19 PM: Fire is out, in mop-up.

- 6:38 PM: All units clearing.

Cooke County wildlife—-

Cooke County and Montague County fire department are working a reported 50+ acre wildfire in the area of FM-373 and FM-2382 in far NW Cooke County, near the Cooke/Montague County line, and also the red river. Love County Oklahoma fire departments are staging along the Red River. Expect visible smoke fire this fire, particularly in Cooke, Montague, and Counties in Oklahoma, possibly even in Northern Wise County.

State Street Pizza in Downtown Decatur suffered some damage this morning after a vehicle crashed into the building. Fortunately, no injuries.

*Rhome* Multi-vehicle MVA: Rhome FD and Rhome PD are on scene of a motor vehicle accident involving multiple vehicles on 114, near FM-718. There is reported road blockage. Use caution in this area.
