The father of Colorado Springs shooting suspect, Anderson Aldrich has reacted to the massacre by explaining that his first reaction to being informed of the attack at Club Q, was to question why his child was at an LGBTQ bar.

Aaron Brink, a former p**n actor, and MMA fighter told CBS8 he received a call on Sunday night from his child’s public defender to say he was under arrest for the mass shooting, November 20.

“They started telling me about the incident, a shooting involving multiple people,” Mr. Brink said in an interview.

“And then I go on to find out it’s a gay bar. I said, ‘God, is he gay?’ I got scared, ‘S***, is he gay?’ And he’s not gay, so I said, ‘Phhhewww…’”

“We don’t do gay,” he added.

The father said that while he holds anti-gay views, there’s no excuse for his child shooting people in an LGTBQ+ club.

“I’m so sorry guys for your loss,” Mr Brink said. “With no regard to politics, it’s human life. I’m so sorry. My soul goes out to you.”

“Life is so fragile, and it’s valuable,” he said. “Those people’s lives were valuable.”

Aldrich’s lawyers have said in court documents that the 22-year-old is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns.

Aldrich opened fire at Club Q shortly before midnight on November 19, before he was stopped by two bystanders.

Aldrich was initially hospitalized with unspecific injuries but was transferred to the El Paso County Jail on Tuesday November 22, according to authorities.

Relatives of Aldrich who wished to remain nameless told The Daily Beast that they were 'totally disgusted.'

'I don't want anything to do with that part of the family,' the relative said.

'They've always had issues, a lot of problems. I'm totally disgusted by that side of the family right now.'

In Brink's interview with CBS 8 he apologized for his son's actions and said that there was 'no excuse for going and killing people.'

'If you're killing people, there's something wrong, it's not the answer,' he said.

Man spends £1,500 monthly to stop himself from aging.

A man has been spending £1,500 a month to stop ageing and says he would even consider getting frozen so he can come back in the future.

Leon Kurita-Goudlock, 36, says he believes in biohacking, a term for ‘upgrading your body’ and says he decided to take action after seeing his parents die.

The fashion worker now takes up to 60 pills a day and said he would like to live forever.

He says if living forever isn't going to work out then he will do everything to grow into old age.

Leon, who was born in the US but lives in London, said: ‘I would like to live forever.

‘My mum died when she was 70 of cancer and my dad died of cardiovascular issues when he was 86 this year.

‘The last 20 years of their lives were a complete misery, they were taking care of each other, they both had cancer and other diseases such as diabetes, heart failure, heart attacks and could barely walk.

‘At that point, why are you alive? There is nothing sadder than carrying your own parents up the stairs and giving them sponge baths.’

Leon says there are five levels of biohacking, starting from less taxing fitness and fasting to level five which is known as futuristic biological alterations.

After watching his parents struggle with their health, Leon decided to make drastic changes to his lifestyle 10 years ago and started with level 1 of bio-hacking.

He says each morning he wakes up between 4am and 5am and takes time to himself to do meditation, go to the gym and drink two litres of water.

He eats between 1,500 and 1,800 calories a day between 6pm and 9pm and fasts for the rest of the day. Lib

HORROR: 4 Idaho Students Were Killed in Apparent Knife Attack

Four University of Idaho students were found dead in an off-campus apartment on Sunday from an apparent homicide, and authorities have now announced that investigators believe a knife was used in the attack.

The four victims have been identified as Ethan Chapin, 20, Madison Mogen, 21, X**a Kernodle, 20, and Kaylee Goncalves, 21.

In a press release on Tuesday, authorities confirmed that no weapons have been found, but "based on preliminary information, investigators believe that an edged weapon such as a knife was used" in the killings. Autopsies are scheduled for later this week.

The press release also says that investigators believe it was "an isolated, targeted attack and there is no imminent threat to the community at large."

No suspects have been named or arrested at this time.

"The Moscow Police Department and the City of Moscow [are] deeply saddened for the families of these individuals, fellow students and friends, and our community during this time," an earlier press release reads. "Our heartfelt sympathies go out to each and every person affected by this incident."

Moscow Mayor Art Bettge told Fox News that the crime occurred around 3 or 4 in the morning on Sunday, but was reported to police around noon.

He confirmed that the reason behind the killings was still being investigated, but said it could have been a "burglary gone wrong" or a "crime of passion," Fox News reports.

"It's one of any of a plenitude of possibilities, including burglary gone wrong, robbery gone wrong … Any of those is a possibility and not one to the exclusion of others," Bettge said, Fox News reports.

A mother-of-five, Beatrice Mbari, has called for justice after she was allegedly beaten to pulp by her husband following a disagreement with his lover in Bundu Ama community, Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital.

Speaking to Punch in Port Harcourt, the distraught woman said she could hardly see with her eyes due to punches the man threw at her.

According to Mrs Mbari, trouble started when her son confronted her husband’s alleged lover, simply identified as Helen, who later reported the confrontation to her husband.

Beatrice said as soon as her husband returned home, he allegedly dragged her around the kitchen, beat her mercilessly, and threw her out of the house.

She added that it was not the first time he was battering and assaulting because of his lover.

"My husband beat me and damaged my face. He punched me in the eye. I can’t even see clearly. He dragged me in the kitchen and said he will kill me and nothing will happen," she explained.

“I was pleading with him to leave me. I asked him what I did. It was one of my neighbour that came to rescue me. He even drove her away. He stripped me and threw me outside. Since then, I and my children have been managing with my elder sister. That was why I arrested him yesterday.”

She said the matter was reported to the Central Police Station at the old Port Harcourt township, saying he has been arrested.

"I asked his girlfriend, Helen, why she told my husband what my son said about his father. I don’t know what the girlfriend told him. Because when he returned from her house, he started beating me. Helen is the reason my husband wants to kill me and my children, so that she will control the family.”

Beatrice whose both eyes were visibly swollen, with bruises below her eyes and ears, as well as other parts of her body, called on the International Federation of Women Lawyers to intervene and save her life.

"I want FIDA to come and help me so that this thing will not happen again. Then let him take care of his children

Chidinma Ojukwu, the murder suspect of Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga, has alleged that she was forced by the police to sign a statement they wrote.

Chidinma made the claim while appearing before a Lagos High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Thursday, November 17.

The former 300-level Mass Communication undergraduate of the University of Lagos who is standing trial alongside one Adedapo Quadri and her sister, Chioma Egbuchu, claimed that the two statements she wrote were torn and she was forced to sign the one allegedly written by ASP Olusegun Bamidele.

Asides from being forced to sign another statement allegedly dictated to her by officer Olufunke Madeyinlo, the murder suspect also claimed that Bamidele asked her to rehearse the statement and narrate it to the Commissioner of Police.

She further alleged that before being taken to the CP’s office at Ikeja, her hands were handcuffed to the chair she sat from June 23 till the next morning on June 24, 2021.

Recounting how her ordeal in the hands of the police began, Chidinma disclosed that she was in her room at their house, at No. 47 Akinwunmi St., Alagomeji Yaba, on June 23, 2021, when her 10-year-old little sister informed her that there were men at the sitting room asking after her.

She said after coming to the sitting room to see them, they asked if she was Chidinma and she answered yes. They reportedly asked her the whereabouts of Mr Ataga’s phone and the Range Rover jeep and she said she did not know.

Chidinma said when the police arrested her, she asked her father to call their family lawyer, Mr Onwuka Egwu.

She said that she was taken to DCP Razak Oseni’s office where police officers asked her a lot of questions.

The former undergraduate said;

“We went back to my house and back to the DCP’s office.

“At DCP’s office, he asked me questions. I told him that I don’t know anything about the death of Mr Ataga, that was when they made the video that was played in court.

Nigerian-born New Zealand UFC star, Israel Adesanya was arrested at JFK Airport on Wednesday, November 16, after allegedly trying to board a plane with brass knuckles.

Port Authority police said Adesanya who tried to walk through security around 2 p.m, was taken into custody by Transportation Security Administration staff who found the banned item in his possession.

Brass knuckles are illegal in the state of New York, however, the UFC star's manager claims the fighter was given them as a present by a fan. Adesanya was later released after being questioned by officials at the airport.

Adesanya’s manager Tim Simpson said in a statement;

“Israel was handed a gift by a fan, which he put in his luggage.

“When flagged at the airport, Israel quickly disposed of the item, and co-operated with authorities. He has complied accordingly, with that the matter was dismissed and he is on his way home.”

Although Adesanya was reportedly not charged after his arrest, the incident still serves as another blow for the UFC's former middleweight champion, following his stunning fifth round defeat to Pereira at Madison Square Garden on Saturday November 12.

Adesanya was ahead on all three cards, 39-37, after four full rounds in the main event bout in New York, nearly finishing Pereira at the end of the first round.

Things changed dramatically in the fifth and deciding round however, as history repeated itself and Pereira once again landed the shock knockout blow on his opponent.

Pereira is the only man to have knocked Adesanya out in his professional fighting career, having scored a pair of kickboxing victories over the Kiwi in 2016 and 2017.

The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has said the dollar might drop to N200 after the redesigning of the naira.

Bawa stated this when he spoke in an interview with Deutsche Welle (DW) Hausa service.

“The law says the redesigning of Naira notes should be done every eight years but we spent 20 years without any changes on them. And that resulted to 85 per cent of money are in circulation not in banks, when CBN came up with this redesigning, dollar moved to 880 and later dropped to 680 or thereabouts.

"So you see with this redesigning dollar may massively fall, who knows probably to N200.”he said

The EFCC chair also said there is no any political motive behind the idea and called on Nigerians to report any person with siphoned monies.

“There is no political motive in this; some people siphoned and hid public funds that is why we want them to bring them out and nobody says they should not bring them, what government says is let them deposit such money in banks.

We assure Nigerians that we are always ready to receive reports of any person with suspicious hidden money and if investigated to be true, we will give 5 per cent of the money to them'' he said

The CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, on October 26, announced the redesigning of the N200, 500 and N1000 denominations. He said the new notes will be released on December 15 and that the old designs will cease being legal tenders on January 31, 2023.
