Tough day fishing as far as the tournament went. Only caught two that made the cut for submission, but had several more smaller ones, a few panfish, and a pike. I had to call it early due to a lack of hydration (but plenty of coffee) and a very sore shoulder on my casting arm. While fishing, I also saw several turtles and two pairs of deer. Praise God’s creation! It is so beautiful!

Finally got a chance to get out after work. First time since early June. Four bass, three panfish, and a catfish. All on BFS and Ultralight. Not bad for three hours. Too bad the lake is choked with invasive Eurasian Milfoil.

Tried a lake that I hadn’t had much success at before. Did reasonably well with the panfish.

I am giving up social media for Lent. I realize that it has become not only a false idol but also an unhealthy way of coping, consuming far too much of my precious time.
