The suspect in the hanging death of 29 year old mother of four, Tasia Fortune, has been arrested. Tasia was found hanging from a tree in Jackson Mississippi. This lead to multiple news outlets and elected officials including Cogresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez stating it was due to racism.

The state medical examiner has ruled her death a homicide. Police arrested 51-year-old Jarques Ratliff (Black) in connection with her death & investigators state the case remains active with additional arrests expected. Investigators have not yet publicly disclosed the motive or the exact nature of Ratliff’s relationship with Fortune.

Hopefully this case doesn't fade into obscurity now that it doesn't fit the Media narrative. Tasia deserves justice.

CAPTURED: Two men accused of luring two teenage girls in Olympia before allegedly kidnapping and sexually assaulting them in King County pleaded not guilty Thursday as prosecutors detailed the case in court and newly released body camera video showed their arrests.

🚨 Moises ‘Moi’ Guardela-Marrugo, 19, was arrested by King County Sheriff’s Office TAC 30 SWAT team in Auburn on September 2. The same day, deputies arrested Josue “Joshua” Orozco, 27, in Kent as he walked away from his Corvette in front of a Planet Fitness.

Body camera video from the sheriff’s TAC 30 SWAT team shows deputies taking both men into custody. The arrests were part of an investigation conducted with a narcotics task force in Thurston County.

Investigators seized Orozco’s Corvette, a Monte Carlo and a tow truck, along with fentanyl, co***ne, fi****ms, cash and jewelry, according to authorities. Prosecutors allege Orozco used Instagram messages to persuade one of the girls to meet the men at a church in Olympia on Aug. 13, promising to buy them alcohol.

Investigators say the 15-year-old and 17-year-old girls were then driven against their will in a van to a home near Renton, where both were sexually assaulted.

The 15-year-old tried to escape the locked room but was pinned down by force to the bed and r***d. Detectives say the men then drove them to a shopping center and left them to fend for themselves.

They used a washroom at the Fred Meyer to clean up blood that was all over the youngest victim’s clothing. They were able to find a ride back to Olympia where they reported the assaults and went to the hospital for a r**e exam.

Orozco is charged in King County with two counts of unlawful imprisonment, each with a sexual motivation enhancement, as well as second- and third-degree r**e. Prosecutors said they also plan to file additional charges against Orozco for unlawful possession of a firearm and for allegedly attempting to bribe a sheriff’s detective in exchange for his release.

Orozco is being held on $502,500 bail. Guardela-Marrugo is charged with attempted second-degree r**e.

His attorney argued in court that he is not a flight risk, pointing to his job as a mechanic, his enrollment in welding school and his role as the sole financial support for his mother.

His attorney also said the defense will later present evidence that Guardela-Marrugo is innocent. Judge Josephine Wiggs kept Guardela-Marrugo’s bail at $200,000.

The judge did not allow cameras to show either defendant’s face in court. No charges have yet been filed in King or Thurston counties stemming from the drugs and other items seized during the investigation.

Both men have pleaded not guilty.

All SB lanes of I-5 between I-405 and I-84 will be closed, as well as multiple on and off ramps, including:

Onramp from Alberta Street to I-5 SB
Onramp from I-405 NB to I-5 SB
Onramp from Greeley Avenue to I-5 SB
Onramp from Wheeler/Williams/Ramsay at the Moda Center to I-5 SB
Offramp from I-5 SB to I-84 EB
Offramp from I-5 SB to Morrison Bridge

Drivers can still travel south through downtown Portland on I-405, and travelers passing through the city can reroute to I-205, which runs through east Portland and parallel to I-5.

Onramp from Going Street to I-5 SB
Offramp from I-5 SB to Broadway
Onramp from I-84 WB to I-5 SB
Offramp from I-84 WB to Morrison Bridge

"In an email to Outside, a DHS spokesperson said that the five men were arrested during a joint operation with the USFS. Two of the men had previously been issued a voluntary return to Mexico, and a third had been arrested on driving-related charges, according to DHS. The other two men had “illegally entered the country at an unknown time and place,” the spokesperson said.
