There is a strange dynamic in settler society where pssive aggresive assaults are encouraged and masked in a story about “non violent communication” and folks slip in and out of the victim seat particularly when called out on those and other shady ways of relating.
The nature of this behavior is rooted in fear, entitlement, and in my opinion, dangerous.

grapples for power are frightening when catch phrases and a common fear of clarity and strong presentations of perspective are seen as threats by packs of frightened people.

This town has been in danger for many reasons and with so so much work to do. Together.

It makes me sad to see the culture fade from our midst as the community is being saueezed out. But i am continually encouraged by those who say less but see more.
They are not buying empty stories of new visions and accusations missing many marks.
They are not cheering these grapples for power in a community that has only a few of us left with context.

While i could be considered the next stage of woodstock eldership around the corner i am a mom and I want to see the Future of this town flourish. Not cave to a story that dies with the few remaining Culture Bearers who set the stage for folks to come seeking a piece of spirit to keep alive.

I want to keep Woodstockers alive.
Not be ousted so it can be rewritten by someones with enough money to wipe out the work that has gone into this little piece of sacred ground and rewrite some spitir to keep alive.

Take it from someone who is watching.
An environmentalist, artist, creative Woodstock born badass…
