That's a Wrap! 🎬
Ladies and Gentlemen, we did it! We finally finished filming Antique. It was a long night, but we are thrilled to have completed this chapter. While filming is done, we're not out of the woods yet. We still need to edit the videos, mix the audio, add a music score, etc , etc.
We'll keep you updated on our progress.
Once again, our ghost is hiding her face—we want our audience to see the "ghost" on screen first.
To the actors:
Skye and Claire: Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into us in this project. You two are amazing to work with. Always positive, even when things are stressful. I’ve said this numerous times, the chemistry with you two is just perfect. Wouldn’t have it any other way. We hope this project encourages you to pursue more acting gigs in the future.
Chantelle, our ghost actress: Thank you for sticking it out with us. You were a real trooper, going through the makeup process, getting into the Victorian dress, putting on those gruesome but annoying contact lenses that make it hard to see, and being pushed around on the "Ghost Cart" while maintaining your balance. In my opinion, you had the hardest job. Thank you again, and I hope you had fun.
To the crew:
A big thank you to Abe, Zoe, and Montgomery for helping us with this big scene. There were a lot of moving parts, and I honestly don't think we could have pulled it off without you all. You helped usher our blind ghost from shot to shot, moved equipment, adjusted lights, kept an eye out for unwanted reflections and objects (cups, bottles, cell phones, etc.), removed and repositioned floor markers, worked the clapperboard, used the leaf blower to create ghostly wind on the "Ghost Cart," and ran the boom mic towards the end. It was a long night, and thank you again for sticking it out with us.
Kat Hollister, our makeup artist: You did an awesome job turning Chantelle into a creepy ghost. Kat has been doing SFX for a while now and has taken classes to improve her skills. Always a professional and willing to help out on set. You helped us figure out an issue with the cart, ushered our ghost, removed and added floor markers, and gave helpful suggestions for our actress on a couple of shots. It's always a pleasure to have you with us at NHFP.
Cameron, our boom mic operator and behind-the-scenes photographer: I remember when you showed up on set and wanted to help. We assigned you the task of running sound. Bender taught you how to run the boom mic, and you got better and better throughout the last two years of filming. You also took pictures behind the scenes and kept a watchful eye on set, giving us good suggestions on how to improve certain shots. Thank you for all the hard work and for getting us pizza last night.
John Bender, cameraman extraordinaire: Always the goofy but professional videographer. Whenever Danny and I are stuck on a shot for a particular scene, you always come up with a solution for us to move forward. It's been a wild ride these last two years of filming, and I've learned a lot from you. I feel like I've improved my camera skills because of it. Thanks for being a professional, a teacher, and a good friend.
Danny, the director: Always driven, always thinking of the best shots to get, and making sure all of us are on point and focused on the task at hand. You are always looking to improve as a director. Throughout this process, I've seen you take lessons you learned with the experience from this project and mold them into your unique directing style.
Great job, everyone. Wish Danny and me luck on the editing process! 🎥✨
