I've covered a lot of local cases since this page was created in February of this year...Murders. Cold cases. Shootouts. But I want to be straight with you....this one is different. This one shook me.
Because this isn't just one story.
This is two.
And they share the same last name.
PART ONE....THE FATHER
Meet Hendrik Beun....also known as Henry Beun....71 years old, of Kidron, Ohio.
For years, Henry Beun was exactly the kind of man this community trusted without question. According to his LinkedIn profile, he served as a Bible teacher at Central Christian School. He was also listed as a former Adjunct Professor at Malone University, where he studied Christian Ministries.
Think about that for a moment.
This was a man who stood in front of children every single day....teaching them scripture. Teaching them morality. Teaching them right from wrong. Parents dropped their kids off at that school and trusted this man with their most precious thing in the world.
On May 30th, 2026, Hendrik "Henry" Beun was booked into the Wayne County Sheriff's Office jail on a charge of Criminal Child Enticement with a Fugitive from Justice hold from the state of Idaho.
Under Ohio Revised Code 2905.05, Criminal Child Enticement means law enforcement believes this man knowingly attempted to solicit, coax, entice, or lure a child under the age of 13 to accompany him in any manner....without the permission of that child's parent or legal guardian.
Under Idaho Code 18-1509, child enticement covers luring or enticing a child under the age of 16 through ANY means....including the internet, telephone, or any electronic communication device....for the purpose of committing a crime against that child.
This is what I believe happened....and I want to be transparent that this is my theory based on available public information. This appears to be an alleged internet crime, meaning the alleged perpetrator may have attempted to entice a child in Idaho without ever physically leaving Ohio. Because the alleged crime potentially crossed state lines and a warrant was issued out of Idaho, the alleged perpetrator would then be considered a Fugitive from Justice under federal law. I cannot be 100% certain of this theory....but I am 99.9% confident that's exactly what happened here.
Idaho wanted him.
Wayne County found him.
I want to be absolutely clear....Hendrik "Henry" Beun has been charged but has not been convicted of any crime in this current case. Every individual in the American justice system is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The charges against him are allegations. It is the sole responsibility of the courts....not this page, not this community....to determine guilt or innocence. I am reporting what is publicly available from law enforcement records and nothing more.
PART TWO....THE SON
When I first posted about Hendrik Beun I was told by you guys to keep digging...
I had absolutely no idea what I was about to find.
Meet Bradley Willem Beun. 42 years old at the time. Uniontown, Ohio.
Hendrik's son.
Here's where this story gets even more disturbing.
At the time of his arrest, Bradley Willem Beun wasn't just a private citizen. He was actively employed as the Director of Special Services for Springfield Local School District in Springfield Township, Ohio. According to a News 5 Cleveland report from April 17th, 2021, FBI agents from the Cleveland Division appeared directly at his office on Friday April 16th, 2021 and arrested him on the spot.
Let that sink in.
This man had a professional title. A school district position. An office. Direct access to students and their families through his role in special services....one of the most vulnerable student populations in any school district.
And he was arrested AT HIS DESK.
Springfield Local Schools Superintendent Chuck Sincere released a statement confirming that the district was informed by the FBI that the allegations involved an incident that did not occur on school grounds and did not involve any Springfield student. The district immediately placed Beun on administrative leave and prohibited him from school grounds or any school functions pending the investigation.
Now here's what Bradley Beun was actually doing while holding that position of trust....
In April of 2021, Bradley Beun engaged in what he believed was an online conversation with a father and his young daughter. He made arrangements. He made plans. He had every intention of following through.
What Bradley Beun didn't know was that he wasn't talking to a father at all.
He was talking to an undercover agent from the Cleveland Division of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
During that online conversation on April 15th and 16th of 2021, Bradley Beun discussed meeting this purported father and his eight year old daughter at an Akron, Ohio hotel.
For s*x.
I want you to let that fully register before you keep reading.
He made arrangements to have s*xual contact with an eight year old child....while employed as a school district administrator with direct access to children every single day.
On April 16th, 2021 at approximately 10:40 in the morning, Bradley Willem Beun arrived at that Akron hotel right on schedule. FBI agents moved in immediately and took him into custody.
When investigators searched the vehicle Bradley Beun had driven to that hotel they found exactly what he had been asked to bring during those online conversations....
Skittles.
Condoms.
A bottle of Nyquil.
He brought candy to gain a child's trust. He brought Nyquil to sedate her. He brought condoms for what he planned to do next.
I'll let that sit with you for as long as it needs to.
Bradley Willem Beun did not go to trial.
He pleaded guilty to coercion and enticement of a minor.
On March 7th, 2022, United States District Judge Sara Lioi sentenced Bradley Willem Beun to 151 months....that is more than twelve years....in federal prison, followed by ten years of supervised release.
This is not an allegation. This is not a charge. This man admitted his guilt in federal court and is currently serving his sentence in a federal prison facility.
FATHER. AND SON.
One sitting in a Wayne County jail cell on child enticement charges.
One already convicted in federal court for attempting to s*xually abuse an eight year old child....after being arrested at his desk inside a school district building.
The same last name. The same community. The same access to children.
I don't have words for this one. I genuinely don't.
AN IMPORTANT STATEMENT REGARDING ASSOCIATED INSTITUTIONS
I want to address this directly and clearly because I've seen the backlash building in the comments toward every institution connected to these men.
Nothing on this page suggests, implies, or accuses Central Christian School, Malone University, or Springfield Local School District of any knowledge, involvement, or wrongdoing related to the allegations against Hendrik "Henry" Beun or the conviction of Bradley Willem Beun. These are charges and convictions against INDIVIDUALS....not the institutions they were associated with.
Springfield Local School District's response speaks for itself....the moment they were notified by the FBI, Brad Beun was immediately removed from school grounds and placed on administrative leave. That is an institution acting exactly as it should.
I have no doubt that had any of these institutions been aware of any alleged inappropriate behavior or tendencies, they would have acted swiftly and decisively to protect their students and their community. Good institutions don't shield bad people....and nothing I have seen suggests otherwise.
Direct your anger where it belongs....at the individuals named in the public records. Not at institutions that responded appropriately and may be just as blindsided and devastated by these revelations as the rest of this community.
IF YOU HAVE INFORMATION....PLEASE COME FORWARD
If you or someone you know had any interactions with either Hendrik "Henry" Beun or Bradley Willem Beun....whether as a student at Central Christian School, a student or faculty member at Malone University, a student or employee at Springfield Local School District, or in ANY other capacity....I am asking you to please come forward.
