In a world that often measures our worth by productivity, in Scripture, the word “Sabbath” appears more than 170 times, continually reminding us that rest is not an afterthought—it is part of God’s design.
After six days of creation, God rested. He blessed the seventh day and made it holy (Genesis 2:2-3). Long before the Sabbath was commanded, it was modeled by our Creator.
What a gift it is to begin our Sabbath mornings resting in His presence. In the stillness, He has brought a new depth of peace into our home—a peace that cannot be earned, only received.
May our hearts be filled with gratitude for the God who formed us from the dust, breathed life into our lungs, placed food on our table, and filled our hearts with His love.
May we remember that we were never created to constantly strive, but to walk with Him, trust Him, and find rest for our souls.
