Hey folks! Just a reminder that tickets are on sale for our Public Domain Comedy sketch show on May 3 at Ambrosia Theater in Grand Rapids, MI. It's the "core three" of Jeff, Rob, and me, and our fantastic supporting cast of Christina Koutouzos, Eli Koskinen, Laurie Kuna, and Lysarra Ford. All four worked with us last year, and we're pleased as punch to have them back for this year's show as well.

Right now, we have two shows planned on May 3: one at 7 p.m. and the next at 9:30 p.m. That's because our venue has a capacity of 69 (no jokes, I promise), and we wanted to make sure that everyone could see the show (compared to last year's venue, Wealthy Theater, where there was a bit more capacity).

Tickets are only $10 in advance if you purchase by April 30. Again, with this new venue and its capacity, it's preferred that tickets are purchased in advance rather than at the door. And we'd definitely love for you to see some funny comedy from us at a pretty reasonable price!

This show is for ages 21+ due to a "BYOB" policy for this venue. Which, if you like to imbibe, is kind of cool, but also necessitates us making it ages 21 and over for that reason. :)

Hey! Looking for a fun show to take the family to? Lowell Arts is doing my TYA (theater for young audiences) play "Kid Heracles and the Ultimate Pantheon Challenge" on April 18-19 at the Lowell Performing Arts Center at Lowell High School in Lowell, MI. A fantastic group of young actors are bringing this to life under the expert direction of Ashley Chalela. Tickets are very affordable... definitely something you can take the whole family to! It's a fun and funny mash-up of Greek mythology and reality television. What could be better? Fun for young audience members and much like my beloved Looney Tunes, I put stuff in there for the adults to laugh at and enjoy as well. 🙂 Hope to see you there! Tickets for the Public Domain Comedy sketch comedy shows on May 3 are now available! 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. You can get tickets on Event Brite or via the Ambrosia Theater website (our location for this show) - link is below. Hey folks! We're doing our annual TYA play workshop with kids out in Lowell, MI. Ages 6-16. The dates of the workshop are the afternoon of June 7 (for "auditions" - everyone gets a part, we just use this day to determine who gets what) and then "rehearsals" on the evenings of June 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, with a performance in the Lowell Arts Gallery on June 25.

We have a lot of good times with these! Last year we did my adaptation of Rudyard Kipling's "Rikki Tikki Tavi," which was fun, and this is also where my plays "Last Kid in the Universe" and "Kid Heracles and the Ultimate Pantheon Challenge" got their start before graduating into full-length, produced plays. Not sure what we're doing yet this year, but I know it will be exciting! :)

Feel free to spread the word, and if you have an interested kid, get them registered! This is a great way for not only "seasoned" young actors to continue to develop their skills but also an excellent entry point for those who have never acted before, as we take them through all the steps of a theatrical show, from auditions to performance.

BIG TOP BARRY, winner of the Audience Award at the Eclectic Full Contact Theatre Playground 2024 Play Festival, is now OFFICIALLY published by Lazy Bee Scripts. I'm hoping that this will get the show more productions here and abroad. (And, let me tell you, we think it's great for school groups and children's theater. So, spread the word to those type of organizations if you don't mind. :) )
