My inner child is ✨squealing✨ with joy!
In case you’ve missed my story posts, this is my new horse, Rosie! She’s a very kind and amiable little Arabian mare who will do just about anything for a cookie!
The other two pictured are ponies I had the pleasure of taking lessons on as a kid.
You may not know this about me, but I have been obsessed with horses since the very first time I saw one when I was just a toddler. Growing up, the most we could afford was some Barbie horses (my favorite toys!) and about 5 riding lessons total over the years.
But as soon as I got my first job as an adult, buying a horse was at the top of my priority list.
I ended up with two amazing older mares over the years; (Willow, a black Tennessee Walking Horse, and Rarity, a grey Arabian), who both taught me so much and showed me how magical a bond between a horse and a human can be. They were the best of the best. And they each took a piece of my heart with them when they eventually left this world. 💔
It’s been years, and that unexplainable mystical draw I have to “ponies” is still so strong. So, after looking for the right one over 3 years, I got Rose. ✨ Ms. “nosey” Rosie Cotton herself. We both need some refresher training, but it’s going so well so far and it’s been so healing to even just be around her.💖
