Brandy’s journey has been shaped by profound loss and personal resilience. After the passing of her husband in
July 2022, Brandy used the remaining life insurance funds to purchase a trailer for her middle daughter, Heather. Tragically, Heather was unable to move into the home due to her untimely passing in an accident caused by an illegally operated dump truck. In the wake of this devastating loss, Brandy channeled her grief into clearing the woods behind her home, a therapeutic process that eventually inspired the creation of Grandma B’s Rentals. Brandy lives with both physical and mental disabilities, including the challenges of five back surgeries, limited mobility, and diagnoses of dissociative identity disorder and bipolar disorder. Despite these obstacles, she has poured her strength and determination into building a business that provides for her family and contributes to her community. Overseeing the day-to-day operations is Lynda, Brandy’s eldest daughter and co-founder. Lynda has also faced the heartbreak of losing her sister, Heather, but has emerged as a stable and compassionate leader. With 12 years of experience in the medical field, a CNA certification, and ongoing nursing studies, Lynda brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to the business. Her organizational skills and caregiving background make her an invaluable partner in ensuring the success of Grandma B’s Rentals. Together, Brandy and Lynda form an unwavering team committed to creating a legacy of hope, strength, and community care. Their personal journey, combined with their professional efforts, gives Grandma B’s Rentals a unique and heartfelt identity.
