BREAKING NEWS: LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER INJURED DURING ENFORCEMENT OPERATION.

Per DHS

This afternoon in Charlotte near University City, a United States citizen weaponized his vehicle, driving a large van at law enforcement while they were conducting an operation. He immediately fled the scene, starting a dangerous high-speed chase through a densely populated area. During the chase, he attempted to ram into law enforcement vehicles— posing a serious public safety threat. As agents were boxing him in, the driver proceeded to ram law enforcement vehicles in an attempt to escape. When the driver was arrested, a firearm was found in the vehicle.

One law enforcement officer was injured.

The perpetrator has prior arrests for resisting law enforcement, public disturbance, and intoxication/ disruptive conduct.

Please pray for all involved, as they all have families at the end of the day.

Please see comments below from Senator Rand Paul regarding a potential Ban of certain h**p products nationwide. This form of long-arm federalism will devastate the growing h**p industry in North Carolina to the tune of 238 million, as of the 2023 USDA H**p study. This decision should remain with the states to regulate, as our great state has already done through the guidance of the 2018 Farm Bill.

This sudden and drastic rug-pull will create an economic shockwave across the state, creating new legislative obligations for the state legislators to tackle, and creating another burden on law enforcement to understand how to enforce this new ban on a substance that, for the past three years, they were explicitly instructed by state law to ignore. The state law being referenced is SB 455, signed into law by former Gov. Cooper in 2022, which removed H**p and its derivatives from the state-controlled substances act. These derivatives are the main subject of the ban.

Please see alarming comments below from the November 3, 2025, Rockingham County Commissioners Meeting, provided by Chris Elliott, Rockingham County Risk Manager/504 ADA Coordinator. Regarding falsehoods raised against him personally and the Rockingham County Government, due to the alleged misconduct of the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, which created financial hardships for the county.

Old North Observer would love to sit down with both Mr. Elliott and Sheriff Sam Page to gain more clarity into his allegations for the public's benefit.

The authoritarian government of Hawaii shows its utter disgust and disdain for a private individual doing what he pleases with his property. Arguments can be made as to what he "should" do with his property for the benefit of the citizens of Hawaii. However, it is paramount that we all remember that we, as private citizens, owe no obligations to provide services that the government itself can provide through its compulsory confiscation of funds through taxation.

On this crisp Sunday Morning in Beautiful Caswell County. Our team has been made aware of a new project to create a statue of the Hindu Warrior God Murugan in Moncure, NC. This statue will be taller than the Statue of Liberty.

As Christians, we encourage all believers not to fall into the trap of tick-tack thinking when viewing this project. Instead, believers should turn to their Bibles to ascertain the best way to deal with this situation. The instructions have already been given in the Book of Exodus 20:4. We do not need the er****on of an even larger graven image of our Savior in an attempt to show religious dominance over our Hindu neighbors.
