was so happy to have Cody Steiner from the Yankton Volunteer Fire Department join us for !

Cody is a 6-year veteran volunteer 👨‍🚒🧯 with a great passion for the ladder truck and the rescue truck! His normal-work-boss originally inspired him to become a volunteer firefighter in his early 20s, and he’s loved it ever since 🚒🔥

He says his favorite things to do outside of volunteering is:

1. Be a dad to 2 awesome kids
2. Go Fast and Furious in the side-by-side
3. Hunting season!!!!!

If you see Cody out and about, make sure to thank him for his time and dedication to the department!

🎉HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEARTLAND🎉

104.1 The Wolf and WNAX Radio 570 spent some time today at the Heartland Humane Society Yankton SD for their 25th Birthday Party 🥳🎉🎂🎁

We got a tour of the facilities, got to meet the kitties and puppies up for adoption, and learned all about the volunteer and foster opportunities!

For example:
- take a dog for a walk 🦮
- have a kitty play day 🧶
- take a cat or dog for a day out

It’s time for ! Today’s guests joined us from the Yankton Police Department- Officer Brett Craig and his trainee Reese Rupert! 🚨🚔👮‍♂️

Officer Craig has joined Wolf Country before, but never in his role as a new officer trainer! And, obviously, Trainee Officer Rupert is new to the program 🥳🎉🎊

This is Reese’s first jaunt into law enforcement; he loves working in the National Guard and wanted to expand his ability to “serve and protect” 🇺🇸🦅

Their message for the day: LOCK YOUR CARS AND TAKE THE KEYS OUT 🔑🔐

We can’t wait to have Reese back on as a fully fledged Officer!

was so excited to welcome our first ever guest on from the Turner County Sheriff's Office, South Dakota.- Deputy Johnathan Farmer 🚨🚔🥳

Deputy Farmer is a Chicago transplant with a lot of prior career experience under his belt! He loves being out here in South Dakota, but does miss the taste of a deep dish pizza 🍕🥲

He’s been with the Turner County Sheriff for a little less than a year, but he’s already made tons of good memories 🎉🎙️📡 including being on radio 😉

If you see him out and about at the Turner County Fair next week, make sure to stop and say hello 👋!
