In Loving Memory of Reverend Jesse Jackson
October 8, 1941 – February 17, 2026

Today we honor the life and legacy of reverend Jesse Jackson, a civil rights leader who dedicated his life to economic justice, political inclusion, and opportunity for marginalized communities.

Reverend Jackson reminded us that representation is not charity. It is power.
Access is not a favor. It is a right.
And voice is not optional. It is essential.

His decades of advocacy opened doors in politics, media, business, and culture. He challenged systems. He amplified unheard voices. He demanded equity where there was silence.

At For Us TV, we understand that platforms matter. Visibility matters. Ownership matters. The decision to build a network centered on community storytelling was rooted in that same belief, that our narratives deserve space, dignity, and global reach.

Reverend Jackson’s work was about infrastructure, not moments.
Institutions, not trends.
Legacy, not applause.

We extend our condolences to his family and to the countless communities he impacted.

For Us TV is now accepting original, finished films and television projects from filmmakers within the BIPOC and BIPOC LGBTQ+ communities.

Selected projects will be distributed on Amazon, Roku, and Apple TV through the For Us TV app. The app will also be available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Submission window: February 10 – March 10, 2026.
Network launch: June 2026.

This series is not about labels or performance. It is about honest storytelling, real voices, and making space for the truth.

At For Us TV, we recognize Malcolm‑Jamal’s lifelong dedication to uplifting Black voices and challenging stereotypes. Through acting, directing, music, and advocacy, he championed authenticity, resilience, and hope.

From his unforgettable role as Theo Huxtable on The Cosby Show to his Grammy-winning spoken word, directorial work, and powerful podcast Not All Hood, Malcolm-Jamal used every platform to expand the way we see ourselves.

He reminded the world that Blackness is not a box it is a spectrum.

This was the heart of his mission: to show the world our complexities, our softness, our strength, and our truth — not just our stereotypes.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner lived a life of intention. And he leaves behind a legacy of layered, beautiful, Black storytelling something we will continue to honor and uplift.
