How to name your songs properly to have success not only with radio, but in the music industry. Song file naming is so important and not something you want to slack off on.

One reason is that some radio station systems will display your song title in car stereos 🚙 so make sure it’s labeled correctly as that’s what will be displayed.

Another reason is that when being organized this way, a radio station DJ will notice you more and respect that you thought about them and their position and risk they have in playing independent artists.

WPRB 103.3 FM 📻 from Princeton University 📍

WPRB is a commercially-licensed freeform radio station. While our studios are located on Princeton University’s campus, we are independently financed and student-managed. Our signal covers a range of approximately 15,000 square miles, serving a population of millions throughout central New Jersey, South Philadelphia, eastern Pennsylvania, Wilmington, DE, and parts of the Jersey Shore. Broadcasting at 14,000 watts of stereo power, our signal is among the strongest in college radio. WPRB’s live internet stream carries our programming across the country and around the globe.

Our DJs are students and community members of a variety of ages, races, genders, and interests. We are best described by the name of one of our oldest and more popular programs: “Music You Can’t Hear on the Radio.” WPRB specializes in the weird, the unlistenable, the engaging, the quirky, the offbeat, and, sometimes, the lovely. We love new releases as much as old archives. DJs provide listeners with musical experiences that they likely won’t find anywhere else on the FM dial.

WPRB prides itself in exploring creative programming of all shapes and sizes.

Tune in mornings, afternoons, and evenings for a huge variety of sounds, emphasizing new, independent, and underground artists. Our DJs are dedicated to bringing you boundless, unpredictable radio (no rotation schedule or Top 40 requirements for us) and connections to local music scenes in central New Jersey and Philadelphia.
