I didn’t record this episode because I’ve figured out self-love, singleness, or how to perfectly enjoy my own company. I recorded it because I’m actually living it right now.

I’m learning me.

Learning how to love myself in action. Learning how God sees me. Learning that I can desire partnership without putting my life on pause until it comes. And learning that another person’s ability or inability to love me does not get to determine my worth.

There are beautiful parts of singleness. There are lonely parts too. I wanted to talk about both.

No perfect answers. No pretending I’ve arrived. Just a real conversation from where I am right now.

SEASON 2 EP 1 Dating Yourself: Stop Waiting to Be Chosen OUT NOW!

I’ve been putting off recording No Rival Thrones because I kept thinking… what if nobody listens?

But I had to remind myself that I never started this because I wanted to be popular. I wanted to be impactful. And if something God gives me reaches one person who needed it, then it was worth saying.

So today, we’re talking about Dating Yourself.

And no, I don’t mean romanticizing loneliness or pretending you don’t want love or companionship.

I’m talking about learning how to love yourself in action. Learning who you are. Learning how God sees you, how He desires to have relationship with you, and what His love teaches you about the way you should be loved.

Because I can say I want a man who pursues Christ…but am I pursuing Christ?

I can say I want someone who loves me on my bad days…but am I learning how to love and care for myself on mine?

And if someone doesn’t love me well, do I know God and myself well enough to recognize that their inability to love me is not a reflection of my worth?

I don’t have this figured out yet. I’m actually just beginning to learn what “dating myself” looks like.

So this isn’t me teaching from the finish line.

This is me inviting you into what God is teaching me right now.
