On the outside, Samantha has it all: money, looks, opportunity, love. But on the inside, Samantha is different. She can’t stop making bad choices. She’s restless and often reckless. In The Wrong Life, we meet Samantha’s family, friends, doctors, lovers, spouse, and her children, all of whom she enlists for help in her constant search for that one elusive thing—happiness.

When Samantha meets Alice, both their lives have fallen into disarray. They develop strong ties as they help each other through dark times. They are soulmates.

Kelly Anne Johnson loves red lipstick, perfectly manicured nails, and strong men. She and Samantha get along so well as college roommates that after school they move together to NYC. Kelly has a lot to say about relationships.

Jay Anthony Russo meets Samantha in high school. He’s been attracted to Samantha forever and regularly shows up wherever she settles—no matter her relationship status.

When Samantha meets Dennis McKenzie, she believes she has found her true love, her protector, and the right life, the one she’s been searching for all this time. Dennis is a celebrated surgeon who adores Samantha, and although he’s aware of her problems, he’s certain he can fix whatever’s wrong and that they’ll be the perfect couple.

And Samantha feels that way too—for a time—until the fear, doubt, and questions creep back in: Did I choose the wrong life? Is there a right life?

"Raw and poignant, this is a must-read novel for those seeking character-driven literary fiction." -Laura Bush, celebrated First Lady of The United States

There are over 400 million fi****ms in the United States.

When one of them is used to commit mass murder during a concert, this violent act sends three complete strangers on a fraught journey through the quagmire of Washington, DC, politics, the never-ending battle over gun rights, and face-to-face with armed militias as a Constitutional loophole sends the nation spiraling.

All three victims seek resolution in different ways. Instead, they may find themselves in the middle of a second Civil War.

"Well researched and beautifully written. The vision and creativity throughout this book are admirable. The author’s command of language and storytelling really shines through. A great read!" -5-Star Amazon Review

The Morning Glory Airport has been in the works for a number of years. One fine summer day, Nancy Corbett became entranced with a huge outcropping of morning glories, blossoming in a number of hues while they draped themselves over six sections of chain link fence.

She invited her friends to her backyard-and with this book, that includes YOU-to observe the birds that flew into the foliage. It was almost as if they were busy travelers entering an "airport" of colorful flowers, each with a variety of intentions, but mainly to move on to the numerous bird feeders in the enclosure.

Enjoy the poems that resulted from her observations.

As to the Other Flights of Fancy, the retired English teacher wanted to include other works for your entertainment and amusement...because not all of her writings are "for the birds."

"This is a delightful book and I enjoyed every page if it. I felt like I was in that garden, experiencing what the author was writing about!" -5-Star Amazon Review

Blue Baxter turns twelve in 1954 just as the school year ends, and she settles in for a long, lazy summer vacation.

But when backyard garden vegetables begin to mysteriously disappear in the night, Blue's investigation leads to the discovery of three "illegal" migrant worker kids hiding in a tool shed. They're on the run from border patrol agents and fearful of taking help from strangers who might turn them in.

Determined to do what's right, Blue enlists the help of her GramZees, the one person Blue trusts to speak her mind, even when it means facing down hate and prejudice.

But doing the right thing means hard choices are ahead for Blue and her family. Going against the law, their neighbors, and white supremacists puts everyone in jeopardy as they race against time to find the migrant children's grandmother in hopes of giving them a haven from deportation.

As tensions rise in town, border patrol agents and white supremacist vigilantes close in. Blue finds herself coming of age in the midst of a historic moment, caught between what is right and what is safe.

"This book details the risks of migrant families trying to make their way in a new and often unwelcoming country. It encourages teens and others to think critically and compassionately about US immigration policies. The story puts a human face on news headlines." - 5-Star Amazon Review
