CHINESE NATIONAL DEPORTED AFTER ILLEGAL ENTRY

Hai Phong Police identified and deported a Chinese national suspected of illegally entering Vietnam.

The man, identified as W.J.Z., 30, was found without a passport, visa or valid identification during an administrative check in Thuy Nguyen Ward. He was later handed over to Chinese authorities at Mong Cai Border Gate.

TAY NINH DEPORTS 17 BANGLADESHI NATIONALS FOR ILLEGAL LABOR AND RESIDENCE
Tây Ninh authorities have deported 14 Bangladeshi nationals for illegal residence and unauthorized employment.
The individuals entered Vietnam on tourist visas but subsequently engaged in undocumented labor and overstayed their permitted residency. Following their discovery by law enforcement, the offenders were fined and formally expelled from the country.
Under Vietnamese law, working illegally without valid documentation carries administrative fines of up to 1,000 USD alongside compulsory deportation.

DOCUMENT FORGERY BUST
Vietnamese police have prosecuted one Indian and one Bangladeshi national for allegedly running a document forgery operation.
The suspects reportedly used social media to sell fake diplomas, language certificates, and consular documents, including packages allegedly designed to support illegal entry and residency in Vietnam. Both have been charged with document forgery under Vietnamese law.

Lao Cai Police have fined and deported five Chinese nationals who were found to have entered Vietnam illegally.

The five were discovered staying at a guesthouse in Lao Cai without valid immigration documents. Each was fined VND 5-10 million and ordered to leave Vietnam.

AIRPORT POLICE FINED TOUTS FOR OVERCHARGING INDIAN TOURIST AT NOI BAI AIRPORT.

At Noi Bai International Airport, an Indian tourist was overcharged 650,000 VND (25 usd) by illegal touts for a taxi ride to central Hanoi that normally costs 300,000 VND (17 usd). Airport police promptly intercepted the tout and the driver before the trip proceeded. Both offenders were forced to refund the full amount to the passenger, who expressed deep gratitude for the swift response. On August 24, 2026, authorities issued each perpetrator a 5 million VND administrative fine. Law enforcement reaffirmed that strictly handling touting protects the international image and reputation of Vietnam's national gateway.

DRIVER ARRESTED FOR SMUGGLING 12 CHINESE NATIONALS
A Vietnamese driver has been recommended for prosecution after allegedly smuggling 12 Chinese nationals into Vietnam without valid entry documents.
