A BOWL OF INSTANT NOODLES WHEN YOU'RE HUNGRY

The mistake most copywriters make is rushing to describe the product too soon, without first establishing a context that allows the customer to visualize the experience.

Just imagine: an ordinary pack of instant noodles costs only 5,000 VND. But late at night, with your stomach growling and your fingers trembling as you prepare a steaming, aromatic bowl, that noodle pack is no longer worth a mere 5,000 VND, it becomes the greatest comfort food in the world.

The same applies to your product. If you can place it in the right context tapping into the specific emotional moment or the exact problem the customer is facing, they will exclaim: "Wow, this was made just for me!"

But how do you instantly place the customer in that specific context within just the first few lines? How do you pinpoint that "golden moment" when your product becomes truly invaluable?

On page 190 of the book *Quảng Cáo Không Nói Láo*, the author recounts a fascinating ethnographic study involving living alongside consumers, conducted by Ms. Võ Như Ái (Research Director at GCOMM).

The study revealed a surprising insight into how young consumers use carbonated soft drinks: as a way to treat themselves and lift their spirits when feeling lonely at home, even though they know such drinks aren't healthy.

Every product has its own moment to shine. The question is: have you learned how to dig into the context to discover the "midnight instant noodle" moment for your own product?

Turn to page 190 of *Quảng Cáo Không Nói Láo* right now to read the full story and learn how to hit the exact spot that resonates with your customers!

PRODUCT POSITIONING: NEW PRODUCT LINE POSITIONING

Developing innovations based on new product lines, supplementing the existing product portfolio to create diversity, is crucial for increasing brand competitiveness. This involves strengthening existing specialized attributes or adding new ones (expanding the brand scope), satisfying a wider range of customer needs, and increasing business profits.

Before starting product design, it's necessary to define a strategy to guide the role of SKUs, design, and the actual product presentation – New Product Line Positioning:

❖ 1. Product Entry Segment + Product Profitability
- Identify the target market segment, product, demand (including social demand), and price point for entry.
- From there, solve the Product Profitability (P&L) problem by estimating sales volume, costs, and projected budget under various scenarios, benchmarking against competitors.

❖ 2. Who is it for – Notable Buying & Consumption Behaviors
- Who are the buyers, and what is their purpose (problem-solving, gifting, stocking up, impulsive buying)?
- Who are the consumers, and what are their characteristic consumption behaviors (eating when feeling peckish, supplementing with other products, enjoying trendy outfits)?

❖ 3. Characteristics & Differentiating Factors of Product Design
- Comprehensive Product Category Design: product types and SKUs with clear strategic roles to avoid overlap (Core, Added-value, changing Variants according to consumer preferences such as Color & Scent).
- Design of the form, model, packaging & accompanying boxes.
- The core attributes of Consumer Experience & Product Quality must be on par with or superior to competitors.

❖ 4. Product Theme – How will the product tell its own compelling, credible, persuasive, or alluring story?
- Focus on highlighting and showcasing outstanding features, benefits, technology, experiences, and accompanying services (such as after-sales service, maintenance, and repair).
- Showcase credible evidence, course claims, endorsements from reputable organizations or experts, and unique selling points that competitors lack or are completely new to the market.

❖ 5. Create a Product Beauty Experience Through Multi-Sensory Presentations
- Utilize media with beautiful imagery and engaging stories across various media channels.
- At the retail store level, implement attractive, organized, and well-organized displays, creating visually appealing visual effects that evoke a desire to pick up and try the product.
- Organize product demo sessions and shows so customers can see the product's uses, experience its benefits, and see how it can be styled in real life, sparking their desire to own it.

IS AN INCREASED CONVERSION RATE REALLY A GOOD SIGN FOR A MARKETING CAMPAIGN?

An increase in Conversion Rate (CR) is often seen as a positive sign in marketing reports. Seeing this metric go up, many marketers tend to quickly conclude that the campaign is performing effectively. However, focusing solely on a single metric can easily lead to misinterpreting the underlying data.

In reality, CR may increase, but other important metrics like CAC, profit margin, or order value may be decreasing. This means the campaign might generate more orders, but it may not necessarily translate into actual business success.

So, when the Conversion Rate increases, what other metrics should marketers look at to understand the campaign's true situation? Let's explore this in more detail in the article below 👇

WHY ARE MANY SMEs AND STARTUPS STILL RELUCTANT TO BUILD A BRAND?

When working with SMEs and startups, I've realized that most businesses struggle to build a brand story. Limited resources (personnel, finances) are a factor, but the biggest obstacle stems from the misconception of business owners that building a brand story means telling their own story.

In reality, every successful brand story originates from the main character (The Hero), the Customer, while the Business acts as the guide, appearing to solve the main character's pain points.

An example of Cinderella's story: Cinderella longed to go to the ball but was thwarted by her stepmother with countless chores. Just when she was at her most desperate, the Fairy Godmother appeared, bringing a ball gown and a carriage to help her achieve her dream. Similarly, in building a brand story, our customers are Cinderella, and we are the Fairy Godmother – the provider of solutions to their problems.

So, is there a streamlined formula for SMEs and startups to build their own story without a huge budget?

The answer can be found in the infographic below, and this is also the formula I'm applying to Lady'bee (my Vietnamese honey brand). Hopefully, it will give you a clearer perspective on your brand.

THIS MATRIX WILL SHAPE YOUR B2B CONTENT STRATEGY IN 2026
(It impacts your pipeline, positioning, and revenue)

"Are you matching content to buying intent or just posting randomly?"
Here’s the difference:

1/Intent-mapped content
The effort is aligned to where your buyer is in the journey (awareness → decision). So every piece of content has a clear role to play.
You create content that moves people forward, not just content that performs. It’s ideal if you want consistent pipeline, not vanity metrics.

2/Random content
The effort is based on trends, guesses, or what “feels right.” You might get reach, but it rarely converts. You maximize impressions but lose intent. It’s ideal if your goal is visibility without predictable revenue impact. So the answer to this question is crucial.

It impacts everything else:
- Your content: are you creating for engagement, education, or decision-making?
- Your funnel: are you guiding buyers across stages or leaving gaps?
- Your metrics: are you tracking reach or real buying signals?
- Your strategy: are you building authority or just staying active?
It also impacts your team, your priorities, your outcomes...

I chose an intent-mapped approach.

Because content should not just attract attention.

It should drive decisions.

THE GHOST USER TREND: WHEN SAVES ARE MORE IMPORTANT THAN LIKES

How many times have you paused for a long time on a Facebook or Instagram post, but instead of clicking Like or Comment, you chose Save or Share Only Me?

If so, you're part of the Ghost Users trend, an interesting psychological shift in the digital age.

My creator friends have shared their concerns about skyrocketing engagement, but have seen no comments. In reality, users are shifting from an open to a closed state. They prioritize privacy, avoid judgment, and choose to store their valuable content privately rather than publicly displaying it as before.

So, to adapt to this trend, how should content creators shift their mindset from focusing on engagement to creating real value?

- Prioritize content that can be saved: Focus on How-to formats, checklists, in-depth tips, or educational information with long-term applicability.
- Encourage sharing: Appeal to a wide audience through diverse perspectives, engaging content, or updates on trending topics.
- Build a safe environment: Create positive and civil discussions to encourage users to express their opinions more freely.

Don't just look at the numbers. In today's algorithms, a single Save is sometimes worth more than ten Likes, as it demonstrates that your content truly provides long-term benefits to viewers.

Below is an article sharing a chart from SEMrush on Content Marketing skills. Looking at the 39% for Analytics or the rise of LLM (AI), is Content Marketing truly obsolete? Don't rush to become an analytics machine just because the market demands it.
- Data helps you stay on track.
- Technical skills (SEO/AI) help you move faster.
- Strategic Thinking & Empathy are what will keep you from being replaced.

Content creation isn't just about writing; if you lose the quality of your writing and the ability to connect with people, all your analysis will just be soulless numbers.

What do you think? Are we becoming marketers or gradually becoming mere tool operators?
