🌱 A quiet and beautiful afternoon at Tay Tai 🌱

Today was one of those slower days that remind us what this hub is all about.

While a few of us were busy at the sewing table with Ha - stitching skirts and learning new skills - others were tending to the aquaponics, planting in the nursery, making soil, and caring for the animals.

The kids got their hands muddy, their minds busy, and their hearts connected - and that’s exactly what we love to see.

✨ At Tay Tai, whether it’s big group adventures or gentle afternoons like this, the focus is always the same - giving our kids real experiences, practical skills, and a community to grow up in.

To the families who came today - thank you.

At Tay Tai, worldschooling isn’t just about activities - it’s about creating a rhythm of learning and living that makes sense for our kids and for us as parents.

We built this hub because we wanted something more for our children:

✨ An education that feels alive and useful, not boxed in.
✨ A community of families who share the same values of freedom, connection, and curiosity.
✨ A place where kids grow real skills, confidence, and friendships that cross cultures and ages.

Here, learning happens everywhere: in the garden, in a drum circle, at the workbench, on the river, or around a table covered in books.

It happens when kids fail and try again, when they lead each other through games, and when they borrow from our ever-growing library and discover a new favourite story.

And it’s not just the kids who thrive.

Parents find their people here
- space to breathe, to share skills, and to know they’re not doing this alone.

A New Week at Tay Tai – The Worldschool Hub of Hoi An!

Every week here looks a little different - new workshops, new adventures, new families joining in.

But the heart of what we do stays the same:

✨ Hands-on learning that feels alive and useful
✨ Space for kids to explore, play, and connect with nature
✨ A community for parents to find support, friendships, and belonging

From building and creating to music, movement, and outdoor adventures - the schedule is full of opportunities for kids (and parents!) to learn side by side.

And with each gathering, our hub grows stronger as a space where families from all over the world can land, connect, and feel at home.

A new week is here at Tay Tai – The Worldschool Hub of Hoi An!

There’s so much happening this week - from craft and creativity to adventure and skill-building:

✨ Monday kicks off with our much-loved Read & Relax Club at Papa Sushi. Books, board games, and connection time. It’s free to attend — and our ever-growing library is open too (small borrowing fee for non-Hub pass holders so we can keep it thriving).

✨ Tuesday brings Coconut Shell Wind Chimes and Acrobatics, plus a field trip to Thanh Ha Pottery Village for a hands-on cultural adventure.

✨ Midweek fun with Sea Scouts, Papier Mâché Making with Vera, and The Seedlings back in the afternoon for real farm life skills.

✨ Thursday has Street Dance and Chess Club, and our Beach Playdate.

✨ Friday it’s Basketball, Recycled Percussion, and our big Minecraft & Roblox Meet-Up at Papa Sushi, followed by our weekly Community Dinner (this week’s location: TBC).

✨ Saturday we’re diving into Building & Engineering, Vietnamese for Adults, and a brand-new Knife Making Workshop.

✨ Sunday rounds out the week with Vietnamese for Kids, Sew, Fix & Create with Ha, and time to slow down and connect.

And remember - our Rainy Season Program launches October 1st, limited to just 30 families.

Hub Pass holders get free borrowing from the library and unlimited access to all workshops run by Hannah, Pierre, Chuong, and Ha. As well as great weekly deals on our workshops and activities with Jessica and exclusive access to our cultural experiences and community events.

This week at Tay Tai we got our hands messy (again!) with paper making!

Transforming fruit peels into something beautiful.

Kids and parents learned how to turn waste into art, taking simple scraps and turning them into unique, textured paper sheets to take home.

And next week we will be making all things papier mache!

This is what the hub is all about - learning real-life skills, creating with our hands, and building connections through shared experiences.

Whether it’s paper making, mechanics, music, or cooking, every week here brings something new for worldschooling, homeschooling, local, and travelling families.

And while we call ourselves a worldschool hub, we’re just as much a home for homeschooling families.

In fact, Tay Tai grew from our own homeschooling journey with our son.

We’ve always felt “homeschooling” was too narrow a word - because so much of his learning happens out in the world.

That’s why we think of it as skills building: practical, creative, hands-on learning that goes far beyond 4 walls.

🌱 Tay Tai isn’t just activities - it’s a community.

A place where families can feel at home, kids can thrive without limits, and parents can lean into both freedom and connection.

Another full week ahead at Tay Tai – The Worldschool Hub of Hoi An

Mondays are always a gentle start with our Read & Relax Club at Papa Sushi - books, board games, and connection time.

And this week join us for reading time with Nana (Hannah's mum!) from 11am 😊

It’s free to join, and families can also borrow from our ever-growing library.

From there, we’ve got a whole mix of workshops and adventures:

🛠️🌱Mechanics & Seedlings are back this week with new times to make them easier for families to join.

🗣️Language Exchange returns on Monday afternoon — designed for kids building their English (or other languages!) through fun games and conversation.

🍑Brand new Paper Making with Vera on Tuesday — turning fruit peels into something beautiful.

🧼A special Soap Making Workshop with one of our community mums.

🎨Arts & Crafts Morning on Wednesday with Hannah, where kids can dive into our treasure trove of materials.

🥁Plus recycled percussion with Ale, water adventures with Jessica, acrobatics, rowing, SUPing, and all our other favourites.

And of course, the week ends in true Tay Tai style - with a Community BBQ this Sunday from 3pm.

Potluck, kids running wild, adults relaxing, and plenty of time for real connection.

Bring what you want on the BBQ, food and snacks to share and drinks. We will provide a few sides, s'mores, drinking water and ice!

We’ll also be holding our first Community Garden Project meeting just before, so if you’d love to be part of shaping this, come along. 🌱

And don’t forget: with a Tay Tai Hub Pass, families can borrow unlimited books from the library and have all workshops led by our core team (Hannah, Pierre, Chuong & Ha) included in the pass.

From October 1st, even more changes are coming to make the hub stronger and more accessible for all.
