One of the obligatory rites for the bride before welcoming the groom's family there is the Kala ritual. This is the ritual where the bride will be given a bracelet by her uncle. Besides, the bride will wear two very elaborate decorations called Kala which are shaped like wind chimes. After that, the bride's uncle will wrap the 2 sets of rings with cloth. It is important for brides to keep in mind that while wearing the bracelet, the bride must close her eyes until the bracelet is completely worn on both hands to imply good luck.

Before the wedding day, the family will dance together and celebrate in the Sangeet ritual. On the official wedding day, the bride will perform a cleansing with turmeric in the Haldi ritual. Another solemn ceremony in the Indian tradition is the Ghari Puja. This ceremony carries a very meaningful message with the message of prosperity and fortune for newlyweds. In this ceremony, there will be ingredients such as coconut, chestnuts, rice and spices symbolizing prosperity for the owner to do the ceremony. Two mothers will help their children get dressed for the wedding and arrive at one another's home with a pitcher of water on their heads, flowers and money. In the national costume competition, Top 20 MGI 2021 Manika Sheokand wore a costume inspired by the traditional 'Chhau Dance' in her hometown. It is a tradition in East India that uses volumes from epics such as the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, combining folklore with abstract themes. Thereby, will create cohesion between classes in society together. The highlight of the costume is an ornate Chhau mask with glittering beads and ribbons. The mask is made of mud and topped with layers of paper dipped in diluted glue and covered with ash powder. This meaningful costume was shortlisted as the Top 20 Best National Costumes.

As a lover of traditional beauty, Top 21 MU 2020 Nguyễn Trần Khánh Vân chose Khoa Lỗ's Ao Dai for the national costume contest. The Ao Dai named Kén Em is stylized with white as the main color to honor the grace and elegance of Vietnamese women. The costume also honors Vietnam's silk weaving through the cocoon model with many spinning reels and silk reels. This pattern is made by applying manual knitting techniques that incorporate macrame tying.

The hat is designed with the image of a forest of flowers and branches with the meaning of always rising to spread. The bodysuit is attached with thousands of crystal stones and sequins to create a sparkling effect on the stage. In addition, the designer created a highlight with the shape of a bonsai tree on the wing to introduce one of the precious bonsai arts from the past combined with the top art of jewelry to international friends. This costume was voted as Top 6 Best National Costume.

The outfit consists of a traditional long dress, high boots, boxing gloves and a wing with a medical symbol on the back. The highlight of the costume is the symbol of a red heart and a gold star attached to the chest, showing national pride. The traditional Áo Dài is designed with glossy leather and silver motifs to help the shirt catch the stage better.

Top 16 MU2021 Nguyễn Huỳnh Kim Duyên chose a national costume that is both impressive and fancy. Designer Khoa Lỗ designed the "Ai Tét hông" costume, inspired by the famous Tét cake made from the magenta plant. This is a cylindrical sticky rice cake (filled with green beans and fatty pork). Green and purple are the main colors of the design to show the characteristics of this famous dish in Kim Duyen's hometown of Can Tho in particular and of the people of the South during Tết holiday in general.
