God spoke 8 times. A universe appeared.

Most people know "Let there be light."
Nobody talks about the other 7.

In this video we go through every single time God opened His mouth
in Genesis 1 — in order — and break down what actually happened
each time.

What you'll discover:
→ Why light appeared on Day 1 but the sun didn't show up until Day 4
→ The one day God looked at His work and didn't say "it was good"
→ Why God refused to name the sun and the moon
→ The sea monsters hidden inside Genesis 1
→ Why God suddenly shifted from "I" to "Us" before creating humans
→ What "very good" means — and why only one thing got that rating
→ Why God went completely silent on Day 7

The 8th speech act is the one that will change how you read
this chapter forever.

We'll get there. But we have to go in order.

✨ **"And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light."** *(Genesis 1:3)*

Everything in creation began with the spoken word of God: **"Let there be..."** From light, the sky, the seas, and the land to plants, stars, living creatures, and finally mankind—everything was created with purpose, order, and divine wisdom.

📖 **Genesis Chapter 1** reminds us that:

* God is the Creator of all things.
* Everything He created has meaning and purpose.
* Humanity was created in God's image and entrusted with the responsibility to care for His creation.
* After each act of creation, God declared it good, and at the end of His work, He saw that it was **"very good."**

🌟 No matter what challenges we face today, God's power remains unchanged. The same God who spoke light into existence is able to bring light, hope, peace, and new beginnings into our lives.

There is a moment before the first moment.
No space. No time. No waiting, because waiting requires a before and an after, and neither exists yet. There is no darkness in the way you picture darkness — no black sky, no empty room. There is simply nothing. Not even the shape of nothing. Just... the absence of everything that will ever be.
And then.
A voice.
Not loud in the way thunder is loud. Not bright in the way fire is bright. Just — a voice. Speaking into the nothing. And the nothing has no choice but to obey.
This is how Genesis 1 begins. Not with a battle. Not with an accident. Not with a cosmic explosion that nobody planned. With a Person. Speaking. On purpose.
In the ancient world, every culture had a creation story. The Babylonians had the Enuma Elish — a long, violent poem where gods fight each other, where the sky is made from the split co**se of a defeated goddess, where humanity is created as an afterthought to do the gods' work. It is a story full of blood and chaos and gods who are barely in control.

📖 Welcome to Paul's Swords

After many years, this page is beginning a new chapter.

What started long ago as a page dedicated to music will now be devoted to something even deeper: the study of Sacred Scripture through the lens of the Roman Catholic faith.

⚔️ Why the name "Paul's Swords"?

In Ephesians 6:17, Saint Paul describes the Word of God as "the sword of the Spirit."

Scripture is not merely a collection of ancient writings. It is the living Word of God, revealing His plan of salvation from Genesis to Revelation. Every person, every covenant, every prophecy, every kingdom, every triumph, and every failure ultimately points toward Christ.

The purpose of this page is simple:

📖 To explore every book of the Bible.

👑 To examine every major biblical character.

🔍 To uncover the connections between the Old and New Testaments.

⛪ To understand Scripture through the teachings, history, and tradition of the Catholic Church.

✨ To make complex theological topics easier to understand for anyone who desires to grow in faith and knowledge.

Many people know the stories of Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Peter, and Paul.

Far fewer understand how these stories connect together into one unified story of salvation.

Why was Abraham chosen?

Why did God establish covenants?

What was the purpose of the Temple?

How do Old Testament prophecies point to Christ?

What did the early Church believe?

How does Catholic tradition help illuminate difficult passages of Scripture?

These are the questions we will explore together.

On this page you will find:

📜 Bible character studies

📜 Chapter-by-chapter explanations

📜 Biblical history and timelines

📜 Catholic theology and tradition

📜 Prophecy and fulfillment

📜 Short-form videos and long-form biblical analysis

Whether you are a lifelong Catholic, a new believer, a student of theology, or simply someone curious about the Bible, you are welcome here.

My prayer is that every post, every video, and every discussion shared on this page helps people discover the beauty, depth, and truth of God's Word.

Thank you for being here.

May God bless you and guide you in the study of Sacred Scripture.
