We’re excited to announce that we’ll be speaking at 2025 with , represented by Jason Aldous, sharing the story behind our collaboration on Te Arawhata: The New Zealand Liberation Museum in Le Quesnoy, France.
Commissioned by the team at Wētā Workshop, we created two immersive sonic experiences for the museum. Voices, presented in 7.1 surround sound, tells the story of the liberation through first-hand testimonies from French civilians and New Zealand soldiers in English, French and German. Encounters, delivered in 4.1 surround sound, features a life-sized soldier sculpture surrounded by sonic battlefield textures that place visitors in the emotional weight of the moment.
We had the privilege of working with composer , whose powerful score weaves delicate orchestration with cinematic scale to anchor both experiences.
This project was one of our most ambitious yet, bringing together spatial audio, storytelling, sculpture and design. We look forward to showcasing this project and all the people that made it happen at SXSW Sydney 2025.
Stay tuned for updates as the official program is announced.
