Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, her son Sajeeb Wazed Joy, and niece Tulip Siddiq are accused of embezzling USD 5 billion from the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant project, valued at USD 12 billion. The funds were allegedly funneled through Malaysian banks. These claims follow their ousting amid widespread corruption protests.
