Vusamazulu Credo Mutwa (1921–2020) was one the most famous and controversial sangomas2 – sages, clairvoyants, healers and diviners – in South Africa. He was also the first sangoma who published books revealing sangomas' esoteric calling, vocation and cooperation with spirits. He wrote extensively about Zulu mythology.
Credo Mutwa spoke extensively about a race of reptilian extraterrestrials, which he called the "Chitauri," who have secretly manipulated humanity for thousands of years. His ideas heavily influenced conspiracy theorist David Icke.
