🚨 NEW for 2025 🚨

Additional size-restricted tags are being added to the public alligator hunting season.

These additional tags may shorten wait times for those interested in hunting a restricted size of alligator. This restricted "Slot Tag" will permit the hunter to take one alligator between 4 and 8 feet in total length.

This tag option will be added to the available lottery choices. The traditional "any size" tags will still be issued with no changes from last year.

High School Students! There’s still time to sign up for our Job Shadow/Learning Day on May 17, 2025, at Region 4 Headquarters in Charleston!

This opportunity is open to students in grades 9–12 who reside in a Region 4 county (Charleston, Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, Colleton, Dorchester, Berkeley, Georgetown, or Horry Counties)

Meet SCDNR officers, watch K-9 demos, and learn what it takes to be a Game Warden. Lunch will be provided.
