“PA REFER PO….”

20% of what lands in my DMs sounds exactly like this.

Most of them come from newbies.

Ppl, we need to understand that referrals aren’t charity 😔
They’re built on trust, and trust is built on results.
If you haven’t done the work,
don’t expect people to vouch for you just because you want a client.

Here’s the thing:

- most of us didn’t get here overnight
- we worked our way up from scratch
- we said yes to low-paying projects just to get experience.
- we stayed up late building portfolios, taking free and paid courses, and rewriting proposals that got ignored

We didn’t wait for referrals.
We became referable.

That’s the part many skip.
They want the shortcut, the handout, the easy way.

But without results, you’re not asking for a referral.
You’re asking someone to gamble their reputation on you.

There are so many free resources out there.
Courses, youtube & tiktok tutorials, facebook groups, community threads.

You literally have everything you need to get started and get better.

So learn first. Build something. Show proof.

Earn the name-drop.
That way, when someone says:
“Uy, I know someone perfect for the job…”
they’ll say your name.

Do the work.
Get results. Then ask.
Not the other way around. 💯
