Last ice mission- SUCCESS

landed a nice limit on zone 14. Fish we active. Losing 2 fish shortly after drilling the holes due to loose drag.

Time to up the hard water stuff away and get ready for the open water season

Fun outing with , with all those marks we should have had a double digit day but I managed a limit of whities and jams hammered a burbot.

So foggy even by the time we were done for the day you could barely see the shoreline.

You don’t get too many days like this throughout the year

Only overnighter of the season and it didn’t disappoint.

Wasn’t a lot of fish but caught this beauty chasing up through the water column.

With all the snow we got travel conditions were pretty rough even with the snowdog but we ended up making do.

Swing by the grocery store yesterday,

Caught this fish first drop and it flew and and smacked the bait

Lots of other marks but all window shoppers.

Froze my ass off securing a limit of whitefish.

So many smelts for hours that the sonar couldn’t even see my lures on the bottom

Lost a Huge whitefish at the hole due to the hold freezing over and trying to horse it through.

While everyone was hunkering down inside for the cold snap we were out slaying the whities.
Tons of marks and only a few committers. They would come in and stay low and just cruise through.
Can’t wait to get out again

Ice fishing has been decent so far, vans in the shop so I haven’t been out as much as I’d like but I’ve gotten out nonetheless.

A limit of whitefish while the girls were at brunch, getting out for her first time, catching a bag with my old boss and getting stuck in a snowstorm with

I’d say this season has been a success thus far

Looking forward to what else the season brings my way

Thanksgiving at the cottage.

Took me some time to figure out the bass but when I did it was on.

Trolling a deep diver was the ticket on this lake. Most of the fish were suspended at about 25-30ft. And I couldn’t find anything shallow.

Lots of fun hanging out and watching the turkeys and the sunsets.

Cant wait to do more of this next year

Last time camping in the van for the season.

Lots of fun camping and hiking. Seen a lot of slugs on a late night walk.

Cant wait for more trips like that this year
