What we are about.
General Information:
We welcome people over the age of 45 years, however most of those in this group are over 50 years.
The Illawarra Shoalhaven Gentler Pursuits is a group for locals gathering to share social get-togethers - movies, cinemas, theatre, concerts, High Teas, art exhibitions, cooking lessons, wineries, markets, winery tours, festivals, river cruises, weekends away and days out together etc.
The ISGP Meetup website is a social calendar for people to use to facilitate their social participation and connectivity to meet others for common interests and get togethers.
The ethical framework of the Illawarra Gentler Pursuits consists of respect for others, honesty, and good moral values. This, therefore, acts as guiding principle in the selection and scheduling of events for our members.
Safety:
Safety of all is our priority, however participation in the group events is to be your sole responsibility. You are responsible for your own safety and any outcomes that may occur due to your participation in an event scheduled on the calendar.
Please be aware that we are to respect the ideals of social distancing, regular hand and washing/sanitising. If you are unwell or a recent history of being unwell, please remain at home and/or see your GP - get tested and get well etc.
Please be very aware that this meetup group is not a dating site. Any inappropriate behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated. Please DO NOT use this site as a means to message other members you have not met in person and have agreed to be in contact.
Membership:
On joining our group you will be asked to provide an introduction of yourself. Please answer the questions asked...not just "yep" 'nup". You are an interesting person...please provide more than a single work etc.......Who are you?
It is a requirement of membership for each member to have an accurate and recent photo of themselves as part of their profile. A recent, CLEAR PROFILE PICTURE of "yourself only" (no other people/animals) is to be included.
Members without an accurate and recent photo will not be approved. Please do not upload a photo of your pet or a lovely scenery pic as your profile photo.
> • It is expected that with your membership you will visit the website regularly and actively participate in the events scheduled.
> • It is expected that all new members will attend at least one hosted event within the 1st month of joining the group please.
> • Removal from the group may occur if you are deemed an inactive member by not attending an event or visiting the site in a reasonable time frame.
By becoming the member of this group, you accept its rules and regulations. No legal action can be taken against the main organiser of this group, nor any event host.
