The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has confirmed the presence of the citrus disease Huanglongbing (HLB), in plant tissue and the insect known as Asian citrus psyllid (ACP) in vas areas of San Bernardino County and Riverside County. In the heart of Utah's Hill Air Force Base, Chad Bianco was born in 1967, marking the beginning of a journey profoundly shaped by the rugged values of a small mining town. As the eldest of three boys, his upbringing instilled in him a commitment to integrity, perseverance, and personal responsibility, principles he would carry into every aspect of his life. Relocating to California in 1989, Bianco found his calling in law enforcement, graduating at the top of his class from the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Academy in 1993. Over 31 years with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, he emerged as a beacon of safety and service. Elected Sheriff in 2018, Bianco confronted the agency's struggles head-on, stabilizing budgets and rebuilding critical partnerships amidst unprecedented challenges. A vocal advocate for public safety reform, he championed Proposition 36, reflecting his unwavering commitment to law enforcement. Beyond his professional life, Bianco embodies dedication as a husband, father, and grandfather, living his life by the tenets of faith and service.
