Posting a day late but here's yesterday's brownstown recap

Hot Laps: actually made it on time to get a hot lap session in, I learned from my mistakes two weeks ago which allowed me to keep the car on the bottom this time!

Heat Race: started 3rd in the heat race. Had a decent start but started to push in turn 1 but thankfully the caution came out and it was a complete restart. Got a little bit better of a start but heading into turn 1 legit turned me into the damn u tire on the first lap... Hit u tire pretty hard so that ended our heat race

Bmain: almost didn't make it on the track in time to run the bmain, thanks Austin Burton for going to check for us.. there was only 6 cars in the bmain, I started on the tail. On the start I slowed down a bit to let the 5th place car in front of me so I could get to the bottom, after I did that I passed two cars and then I think the 2nd place car broke or something and a caution came out. On the restart I started 3rd and since it was a delaware double file restart I ended up starting on the inside. Ended up getting a good restart as I took the 2nd place position with 6 or 7 laps to go, I was catching the leader untill with 3 to go I got loose in turn 2 and got on the brakes a little bit too hard and spun out.. no caution was thrown so I kept it going and finished 5th in the bmain

Thoughts: I'm starting to get more comfortable in the car as I get more seat time, it sucks getting turned in the heat race but after I was pretty pi**ed off that happened so I made it my mission in the bmain to make some noise. Hornets race again at btown this weekend so we might be there.

Brownstown recap:

Ended up missing hot laps due to not getting there on time

Ended up starting last in our heat, was doing pretty good even passed a couple cars untill I messed up in turn 4 and hit the tires on the pit wall

This pretty much ended our night, as my sinuses started getting bad we decided to call it a night!

Overall had a lot of fun and we'll be more prepared and on time next week

Update on the car:

Been working hard to get this car fully grinded so it will be ready to paint, got everything almost sanded off except got the back bumpers to do and gotta finish doing the other door but were getting there!

having a lot fun racing the small block modifieds, pretty much dominated a 358 official race at Knoxville led every lap and had a conformable lead on 2nd place!
