Hello peeps
Just a prep on how to safely install a gps tracker on your vehicle/device
Most people today fail to understand the importance of having a gps tracking device/app installed on their vehicle/mobile devices but on this post I’ll be talking on how to safely install a tracker on your vehicle
There’re common places we install tracking devices on our vehicles like
- The dashboard
- The seats
- Under the vehicle
- The bumper and so on
These are places we usually install out trackers
What we fail to understand is the fact that, to steal a car one must be really smart, now when a smart person steals a car, the first instinct after safety would be to uninstall these tracking devices and on a plater of gold, these devices are served to them
In the image below, there’s a few hidden places one can install these tracking devices although this is not in any way of hundred percent guarantee as they also are devices that can be used in finding trackers on a vehicle
They’re a few types of vehicle tracking devices and I’ll be two about the 2 main types in this post
• The Monitored GPS Tracking Devices
• The Unmonitored GPS Tracking Devices
The monitored gps tracking devices transmit real time data about it’s location, they relay data anytime in motion or at set intervals, these can be set to an internet connected cellphones or computers which makes it quite convenient
While the unmonitored gps tracking devices stores waypoint onboard and do not transmit their location instead operate as a handheld GPS device, they collect waypoint at set intervals and are a lot cheaper compared to the monitored gps tracking devices.
Just as they’re so many advantages in having a GPS tracker installed on your vehicle/device, they’re also a few disadvantages like;
- Drains battery and gives a high chance of signal and battery failure
- Commercial exploitations
- Incorrect Routes
- Over dependency
- Just as a tracker helps you to locate your vehicle when lost, it also helps
