Woke up today to a surprise $15,000 bill from a shipping company.

Had a mini heart attack.

Knew I could either freak out or just roll with the punches.

Reframed this surprise bill to attempt to stay calm.

I was saying “ok I least I have the money saved. A hard lesson to learn but I’m safe. I’ll be ok.”

Talked myself out of a panic attack.

Got another email from the same company letting me know that it’s 15,000 INR… which equals about $180 USD.

🥲🥲

Well, then. That’s a horse of a different color!

I guess the moral of the story here is that working with 4 years ago is still paying off 😅 she’s a money mindset coach and I think I would have lost it today if it wasn’t for wisdom she taught me so many years ago!

Product free curls 🤠

Every time I go to get my haircut, my hairstylist asks me to go in to the salon with freshly washed, NO product hair.

Lately, I have been loving the volume luck and have been frustrated that I haven’t been able to get very much volume in my hair (especially bc I refuse to get the super short layers lots of curlies have. Just not for me)

Little did I know that my secret sauce might be to start wearing minimal product.

I don’t think I will ever be completely product free because I don’t love the feeling of my hair without product in it and there is a little bit of extra frizz I would like to eliminate.

But it was definitely fun to see that my haircut it looks somewhat acceptable without product!

Now, I absolutely have to say that my hair even four years ago would have never looked this good if I didn’t spend the last four years making it as healthy and balanced as it can be.

But I suppose it’s kind of like skin care… When the dermatologist put you on an eight step skin care routine the goal is to do that for a few years then work your way to a two or three step skincare routine as your skin gets healthy.

We’re still working on the Skincare thing over here, but we got the hair care thing down!

Direct sunlight tends to bring out frizz and I used to avoid taking photos in the sun at all costs!

But, idk, I kinda like frizzy / messy hair these days.

Blown away with this wash day using all products. Details below ⬇️

ONE styling product gave me these results! And usually my hair looks awful in the sunlight, so that’s truly saying something. 🤯

1️⃣ Washed with Color Wow Color Security Shampoo- When I got on a zoom call with the Color Wow team, they told me that the shampoo was epic and now I see why. It had the best lather and cleaned my hair but definitely didn’t dry it out.

2️⃣ Deep Conditioned with the Money hair mask - this mask is something that I would never normally use because it is loaded with silicones. But it was going super viral on TikTok so I had to see if it worked for curls. It definitely made my hair feel instantly smooth and hydrated, but I am not sure if this entire wash day was because of this product or because of the styling product I used afterwards. 🤔

3️⃣ To style I used the CurlWow Shook Spray. To be completely honest I kind of thought that this was going to be a throwaway wash day. Usually I need to layer on multiple products to get any type of desired result. I am absolutely blown away by this product. My curls dried in record time because of the minimal amount of product I used and they are going on day three now and still pretty strong. LOVE. THIS. PRODUCT.
