💔 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐀𝐟𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬. Every day, 15 women are murdered and 117 report r**e, most of these acts are committed by someone they know. Behind closed doors, countless women continue to suffer in silence.

We stand with Women For Change, who continue to fight for justice, accountability, and urgent action in the face of our country’s GBVF epidemic.

On Friday, 21 November, South African women and members of the LGBTQI+ community will silence the nation. Take part by doing one or more of the following:

🙅‍♀️ Refrain from all paid and unpaid work.

💵 Don’t spend or withdraw money for the day.

⏰ Standstill by lying down for 15 minutes at 12pm to honour 15 women murdered every day.

🖤 Wear black to stand in mourning.

Together, we will show the economic and social impact of our absence.
