LIFE UPDATE: This week will be my last week at WSET.

I’ve been blessed to call Danville and all of Southside Virginia my home for the past two years.

Thank you so much to the viewers who have always supported me, encouraged me. Your kind words mean so much more to me than you will ever know.

Thank you to everyone in the community who has trusted me to tell their stories.

Thank you to ABC 13 for giving this pint sized, blinky-eyed, head nodding,silly, punny, and talkative girl a microphone and a chance to live my dream of being a reporter.

Thank you to everyone at WSET who was been apart of my journey. Thank you for pushing me to be better and being there for me when I need a helping hand. From our managers, anchors,
producers, photogs, editors and of course my fellow reporters.

As for what’s next for me…..stay tuned. 😊

These type of stories are my favorite to tell.
Sherman Watkins is an artist and Air Force Veteran who gifted an original portrait president Jimmy Carter almost 50 years ago. And he got an unexpected surprise months later.
I could’ve sat and listen to Mr. Sherman all day, he is truly amazing.

Mark was so loved and valued by us here at ABC 13 and the community. He will be truly missed. His personality and energy was contagious, I would feel it all the way here in Danville. He always managed to put a smile on my face from his funny tosses, his funny and encouraging texts and inquisitive phone calls about something I wrote in my scripts that made no sense, haha.
