Last night’s Handmaid’s Tale Emmy panel left me shaken… and inspired.

Elisabeth Moss said something that pierced straight through me:
“At its heart, the show is about how mommies always come back.”

That line.
As a mom of three boys, I felt that in my soul. No matter what chaos, what darkness, what oppressive systems try to separate us — we fight, we survive, and we come back. Because that’s what mothers do.

The Handmaid’s Tale isn’t just a dystopian drama. It’s a warning. A reflection. A call to stay awake.
Gilead happened because people let it happen. Because they didn’t fight hard enough. Because they didn’t believe it could.

And here we are — watching rights be rolled back, women’s autonomy questioned, and democracy tested.
It’s fiction. And yet… not.

I’ve been told almost daily that I look like Elisabeth Moss — but last night, hearing her speak and sitting with the weight of the show’s message, I didn’t just see the resemblance. I felt the mission.

We mothers?
We are the resistance.
We come back.
And we don’t back down.

🚨 PSA: I lost my phone while going upside down on a roller coaster last night. 🎢🤦‍♀️ The park is still on the hunt, but let’s be honest, it’s probably having more fun than I did. 😂

Celebrating 23 years of marriage with all its ups and downs. Somehow, we always manage to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again.

Our marriage and parenting journey often feels like riding a wild bronco in a rodeo. When times get tough and one of us is about to be bucked off, the other holds on tight and pulls us back together.

Dash: “Looks like I’m destined for braces with these hillbilly teeth” 😬 meanwhile Mom’s reminiscing about a bike mishap causing her a half a front tooth, plus some fang-like eye teeth back in the day! 😂

Tiaras and Ties dance at school tonight. Dash declared “I’m not wearing a tie! I want to wear a tiara!” He enlisted Fox to join him and I went with it! They love to have fun and I will agree wearing a dress is way more fun that a tie! 😝

All the girls at the dance squealed with delight as they saw my two pretty princesses roll up (in the roller skate shoes). While the boys mostly looked confused by the spectacle. 😝

Father Daughter dances have come along way!! ❤️
