Welcome to a series where I recommend things that are worth eating in Lagos in this economy. The issue is sometimes with consistency. However, I have found to be incredibly consistent. Props to Chef Obehi. She’s doing the Lord’s work.

Ona is for the experimental Nigerian. If you love Nigerian flavours reimagined in creative ways then you’ll LOVE this.

- I love the hibiscus cocktail here too

Sometimes you just need an impromptu Thursday yap with your girl was exactly what we needed. Quiet, drinks were delicious and lovely bites as well. Highly recommend!

A relatively new addition to St John’s Wood High Street restaurants. was delicious from the burrata to the lobster pasta. With my favourite dish being the tiramisu. Definitely one to try in the NW area.

Q1 London culinary delights:

1. bottomless sushi. Great value at £39pp
2. ads got me. Slapped though, but I’ll probably be making my own crumble going forward
3. Finally got to try . Shame I didn’t get to try at their old location but hopeful for Shoreditch
4. my favourite inflation indicator. Now at £18.
5. Can’t go wrong with some good ol’ reliable .uk
6. was a nice addition to the London Thai food rotation
7. Calamari
8. Ramen from (one of the best imo)
9. is now in NW!!!!
10. Sunday Roast
11. We stan a supportive big sister

H2 ‘24 Culinary Delights

Last week, I went to a Thai x Filipino food supper club sponsored by .

Supper Clubs are a really nice way to try food by chefs and also potentially meet new people.

The aubergine pate in slide 1 was delicious. Spicy 🥵 but delicious. The crispy rice salad was my overall favourite. I wasn’t completely blown away by this meal but I was glad to be experiencing new things.

Food can be so fun and a way of staying adventurous so anything that requires me trying new flavours? Count me in.

A lesson in price elasticity 🤷🏿‍♀️. I can’t lie I thoroughly enjoy Nok Abula. The price is now outrageous, but it’s not the same as any competitors you’re about to counter my argument with lmao.
